Reported cases of neoplasia affecting hippopotamus are very scarce.This report describes a metastatic oral squamous cell carcinoma in captive 44-year-old male common (Hippopotamus amphibius) that developed progressive loss appetite, fibrinohemorrhagic discharge, and weight loss.Gross, cytological, histopathological findings were compatible with conclusive diagnosis an invasive metastasis the lung, adrenal, spleen.To best our knowledge this is first hippopotamus.

Polyarteritis nodosa is an idiopathic necrotizing vasculitis that affects small to medium-sized arteries.
