<title>Abstract</title> Systematic exploration by the Geological Survey of India, Hyderabad, involving geological mapping and trenching, led to discovery a kimberlite pipe at Krishnapuram (14° 30ʹ 22.50ʺ; 77° 36ʹ 27.20ʺ) within Wajrakarur Kimberlite Field (WKF) Eastern Dharwar Craton (EDC). The identification this pipe, designated as CC-6 in Chigicherla (CC) cluster, was confirmed through extensive heavy mineral sampling indicator (KIM) analysis using electron microprobe (EPMA)....
Abstract Magmatic Ni-Cu-platinum group element (PGE)-Te mineralization in the Gondpipri mafic-ultramafic layered intrusion of ca. 3323 ± 74 Ma age, western Bastar craton, central India, is one most prospective exploration targets for magmatic sulfides India. The divided into two distinct groups rocks based on their potential, which include (1) mineralized gabbro and pyroxenite (2) a barren olivine intrusion. host show Cu + Ni concentrations up to 5,000 ppm with Cu/Ni ratio &lt;1 all PGE...
In this study, we investigate phlogopite-rich pyroxenite from a major terrain boundary, i.e., the interface of Nallamalai Fold Belt and Nellore schist belt, in southern India. Petrographic studies reveal that clinopyroxenite is composed clinopyroxene phlogopite with subordinate pyrrhotite which cumulus texture conspicuously noticed. Resorbed grain boundaries noticed indicates crystal melt interaction. The relatively high Mg# (61–67) supports mantle derived nature pyroxenite. negative Ta, Nb...
We present the findings on in situ trace element geochemistry of sulphides by LA‐ICPMS, sulphur isotope, and hydrothermal fluid evolution copper ± gold mineralization at Dubarpeth, Central India. Mineralization is associated with chloritized‐silicified alteration zones, structurally localized along terrain boundary fault between Archean TTG quartz diorite (2.5 Ga) Western Bastar Craton Paleo‐Mesoproterozoic cover sediments Pranhita–Godavari (PG) Valley. Studies reveal that Cu Au occurs form...
Abstract The lamproites and kimberlites are well known from the Eastern Bastar Craton, Central India. However, a Proterozoic lamprophyre dyke is discussed here, Western Craton (WBC). field geology, petrographic, mineralogical whole-rock in-situ trace element geochemistry of biotite described to understand petrogenesis lithospheric evolution in WBC. Thanewasna (TL) undeformed unmetamorphosed, intruded into c. 2.5 Ga charnockite metagabbro but closely associated with 1.62 Mul granite. TL has...
Gahnite occurs in diverse rock types and metamorphosed mineral deposits. The gahnite geochemistry is being used as an exploration tool for zinc sulfide In the present study, of associated minerals viz. sphalerite, garnet, sillimanite, staurolite, anthophyllite, biotite, ilmenite, chlorite, their petrography have been studying genesis, metamorphic evolution, deposit characterization, significance seven Palaeoproterozoic volcanogenic massive sulfides (VMS) deposits Betul belt Central Indian...
The Zn‐Cd‐S critical minerals system is a significant mineralogical indicator of hydrothermal ore‐forming processes. understanding greenockite ( CdS ) formation in natural mineral systems very restricted due to low crustal abundances (Cd <0.2 ppm). We report the first occurrence from Bagada orogenic gold prospect, Paleoproterozoic Mahakoshal belt, Central Indian Tectonic Zone (CITZ). This provides an ideal opportunity access and its genesis. Greenockite occurs discrete sheared quartz...
Abstract The Proterozoic Chimalpahad Anorthosite Complex (CAC) is a deformed and dismembered complex in South India comprising of anorthosite-leucogabbro-gabbro-ultramafic rocks. It located the Nellore-Khammam Schist Belt (NKSB) within contact zone between Eastern Dharwar Craton (EDC) Ghats (EGB). chromitites occur as small lensoidal bodies ultramafic Presence micrometric inclusions iridium-like platinum-group minerals (IPGM), such laurite (RuS2), erlichmanite (OsS2), irarsite (IrAsS),...
Abstract This study reports on two lamprophyre dykes from the Rapuru area along margin of Eastern Dharwar Craton (EDC) and Nellore Schist Belt (NSB). The (RL) are situated southern extension Prakassam Alkaline Province (PAP). RL deformed, yet still preserve a porphyritic–panidiomorphic texture, with mica phenocrysts, amphibole feldspars in groundmass. Geochemically, have low Mg# (0.28–0.37), Ni (30–60 ppm) Cr (119–228 concentrations that indicate their evolved nature, such as for other...
