Sleep problems are prominent after menopause. The aim of our study was to look into the effect black cohosh on both objective and subjective sleep in early postmenopausal women with complaints. We performed a randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled research during 6-month period. Forty-eight aged 45-60 years disturbance were enrolled received daily administration either or placebo. Polysomnography Pittsburg Quality Index (PSQI) at initiation termination study, as well Menopause-specific...

Biotechnological production of 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BD), a versatile platform bio-chemical and potential biofuel, is limited due to by-product toxicity. In this study, we aimed redirect the metabolic flux toward 2,3-BD in Enterobacter aerogenes (E. aerogenes) by increasing intracellular NADH pool. Increasing NADH/NAD+ ratio knocking out dehydrogenase genes (nuoC/nuoD) enhanced up 67% compared with wild-type E. aerogenes. When lactate (ldh) was knocked out, yield increased 71.2% wild type....

Xiang-Sha-Liu-Jun-Zi-Tang(XSLJZT) is a common formula for the treatment of Gastric Cancer(GC) and widely used in clinical practice, however, there lack investigation into its mechanism. We collected organized drug disease targets, constructed "XSLJZT-Active Ingredient-Target" visualization network, performed GO KEGG functional enrichment analysis crossover genes, followed by molecular docking active ingredients core targets. The best docked monomers were combined with weighted gene...

Identifying novel small-molecule P2X1 and P2X4 ligands with sub-type specificity high-affinity remains a pharmacological challenge. Here we use computational methods, electrophysiology fluorescent microplate assays to screen for ligand candidates acting at these receptors. Modelling docking identified 80 compounds testing receptors, 20 of showed >50% inhibition in fluorescence-based assays, making them appealing further SAR studies. Confirmation activity by two-electrode voltage clamp,...

Abstract Background Biogenic 2,3‐butanediol (2,3‐BDO) is a high‐value‐added compound that can be used as liquid fuel and platform chemical. Bioproduction of 2,3‐BDO an environmentally friendly choice. Method Results Three recombinant derivatives the novel Klebsiella sp. isolate FSoil 024 (WT) were constructed via different strategies including deletion lactate dehydrogenase by λ‐Red homologous recombination technology, overexpression small‐noncoding RNA RyhB combination both. The...

Abstract The potential effect of caffeine exposure during pregnancy on gestational hypertension (GH)/preeclampsia has attracted attention but remains unclear. A systematic literature search PubMed, Embase and Cochrane Library databases was performed until March 2022. Observational studies assessing the association between risk GH/preeclampsia were included. study protocol registered in PROSPERO: CRD42022322387. Ten involving 114984 pregnant women (2548 diagnosed with GH 2473 preeclampsia)...
