Highlights•Expression of Aire and self-antigen genes decreases with age in thymic B cells•B cell-intrinsic cell-extrinsic mechanisms contribute to this decline expression•The phenotype transcriptome cells change age•T-bet expression frequency IgG2a increase aged cellsSummaryAlthough autoimmune disorders are a significant source morbidity mortality older individuals, the governing age-associated increases susceptibility remain incompletely understood. Central T cell tolerance is mediated...

Both anti- and proapoptotic activities have been reported to occur during chlamydial infection. To reconcile the apparent controversy, we compared host cell apoptotic responses infection with 17 different serovars strains. None of caused any biologically significant apoptosis in infected cells. Host cells chlamydia-infected cultures can continue undergo DNA synthesis mitosis. Chlamydia-infected are resistant induction, although extent antiapoptotic ability varied between serovars. These...

We have previously correlated Chlamydia trachomatis antiapoptotic activity with the blockade of mitochondrial cytochrome c release and inhibition Bax Bak activation. now report that C. infection leads to degradation Bik, Puma, Bim, three upstream proapoptotic BH3-only proteins Bcl-2 family can transmit death signals mitochondria by inhibiting and/or activating members, such as Bak. This observation has provided new information on chlamydial antiapoptosis mechanisms.

The aberrant expression of microRNAs (miRNAs/miRs) has been found in numerous cancer types. miR-32 is an oncomiR prostate (PCa), however, the mechanisms by which functions as a regulator radiotherapy response and resistance PCa are largely unknown. In present study, it was that DAB2 interacting protein (DAB2IP), miR-32-dependent tumor-suppressor gene, downregulated induced autophagy inhibited radiotherapy-induced apoptosis cells. upregulated or overexpressed PCa, DAB2IP through direct...

A análise grupo...

Objective. To determine the genotype frequencies of ß 2 -adrenergic receptor (ß AR) gene polymorphisms (Gly16Arg, Glu27Gln) in patients with fibromyalgia syndrome (FM) by comparison unrelated healthy controls. We sought any clinical association these and determined whether would associate a biologic guanosine protein-coupled stimulator (Gs) dysfunction FM. Methods. Abstract Chlamydia trachomatis, an obligate intracellular bacterial species, is known to inhibit host cell apoptosis. However, the chlamydial antiapoptotic mechanism still not clear. Because NF-κB activation antiapoptotic, we tested potential role of in activity current study. First, no obvious was detected chlamydia-infected cells when these were resistant apoptosis induced via either intrinsic or extrinsic pathways. Second, inhibition with pharmacologic reagents failed block activity....

Thymic stromal cells (TSCs) are critical regulators of T cell tolerance, but their basic biology has remained under-characterized because they relatively rare and difficult to isolate. Recent work revealed that constitutive autophagy in TSCs is required for self-antigen presentation central tolerance induction; however, the mechanisms regulating not well understood.
