I develop a diagrammatic method for calculating chiral logarithms in the quenched approximation. While not rigorous, is based on physically reasonable assumptions, which can be tested by numerical simulations. The main results are that, at leading order expansion, (a) there no $f_\pi$, $m_u=m_d$; (b) $B_K$ and related kaon B-parameters are, $m_d=m_s$, same approximation as full theory; (c) $m_\pi$ condensate, extra due to loops containing $\eta'$, lead peculiar non-analytic dependence of...

We study the leading discretization errors for staggered fermions by first constructing continuum effective Lagrangian, including terms of ${O(a}^{2}),$ and then corresponding chiral Lagrangian. The ${O(a}^{2})$ in Lagrangian completely break $\mathrm{SU}(4)$ flavor symmetry down to discrete subgroup respected lattice theory. find, however, that potential maintain an $\mathrm{SO}(4)$ $\mathrm{SU}(4).$ It follows pion masses are symmetric, implying three degeneracies within seven irreducible...

Working in relativistic quantum field theory, we derive the quantization condition satisfied by coupled two- and three-particle systems of identical scalar particles confined to a cubic spatial volume with periodicity $L$.
