Background Donation after circulatory death (DCD) liver allografts are associated with higher rates of primary non-function (PNF) and ischemic cholangiopathy (IC). Advanced recovery techniques, including thoracoabdominal normothermic regional perfusion (TA-NRP), may improve organ utilization patient allograft outcomes. Given the increasing US experience TA-NRP DCD recovery, we evaluated outcomes transplanted TA-NRP. Methods Liver from donors were identified 5/1/2021 to 1/31/2022 across 8...

Many inherited metabolic disorders (IMD) are associated with end-organ damage necessitating organ transplantation. Although utilization of deceased donors history IMD warrants caution, there may be circumstances under which such could considered as suitable donor candidates. Background Calculation of intracranial volume from neuroimaging can be complex and time consuming. In the adult population, there is evidence suggesting that owing to its strong correlation, head circumference (HC) may used as a surrogate for (ICV). We were interested in studying correlation between HC ICV patients with craniosynostosis. Methods After institutional review board approval, retrospective was performed on GE Healthcare AdW 4.3 assessment software calculate based preoperative...

Abstract Extrahepatic biliary neuroendocrine tumors (EBNETs) are extremely rare and difficult to diagnose. The vast majority diagnosed postoperatively on histological evaluation of surgical specimens. Workup treatment principles largely based retrospective series case reports. Complete resection is the gold standard for these lesions. Here we present a 77-year-old male with biopsy-proven EBNET incidentally discovered during fatty liver disease. Further workup did not show any other...
