Abstract Transcript alterations often result from somatic changes in cancer genomes 1 . Various forms of RNA have been described cancer, including overexpression 2 , altered splicing 3 and gene fusions 4 ; however, it is difficult to attribute these underlying genomic owing heterogeneity among patients tumour types, the relatively small cohorts for whom samples analysed by both transcriptome whole-genome sequencing. Here we present, our knowledge, most comprehensive catalogue...

Abstract The impact of somatic structural variants (SVs) on gene expression in cancer is largely unknown. Here, as part the ICGC/TCGA Pan-Cancer Analysis Whole Genomes (PCAWG) Consortium, which aggregated whole-genome sequencing data and RNA from a common set 1220 cases, we report hundreds genes for presence within 100 kb an SV breakpoint associates with altered expression. For majority these genes, increases rather than decreases corresponding events. Up-regulated cancer-associated impacted...

Abstract We present the most comprehensive catalogue of cancer-associated gene alterations through characterization tumor transcriptomes from 1,188 donors Pan-Cancer Analysis Whole Genomes project. Using matched whole-genome sequencing data, we attributed RNA to germline and somatic DNA alterations, revealing likely genetic mechanisms. identified 444 associations expression with non-coding single-nucleotide variants. found 1,872 splicing associated mutation in intronic regions, including...

The spectrum around 60GHz is available for unlicensed operation in many regulatory domains including the USA, Japan, Canada and Australia. One of applications this short range communication systems. These systems are designed to deliver gigabit speeds, consuming small amount power form factor. factor achieved because passive components scale with carrier frequency at such as: transmit receive filters, passives antennas candidates inclusion on die. In the Pd/Co/Pd trilayer with magnetic perpendicular anisotropy, it has been found that both saturation magnetization MS and coercivity HC demonstrate a drastic time-dependent decrease. The effect observed to be strongly related Co layer thickness. When is thinner, drops of become much faster time. attributed absorption gaseous elements (for example, hydrogen) during exposure sample air, which can induce reduction in Pd-polarization.

The mitigation of intra-channel nonlinearities in 10 Gbaud coherent NRZ-QPSK systems via a nonlinear electrical equaliser based on Volterra theory is experimentally demonstrated. Without the requirement prior knowledge fibre link, significantly improves system performance compared to digital dispersion compensation only.

ABSTRACT A series of novel aqueously soluble semi‐aromatic (co)polyamides, poly[(ethylenedioxy)bis(ethylene) terephthalamide]‐ ran ‐poly[(ethylenedioxy)bis(ethylene) (2,5‐dihydroxy‐3,6‐diallyl)terephthalamide] (CRPAOT‐x), were prepared via the solid‐state Claisen rearrangement reaction 2,5‐bis(allyloxy)terephthalamide] (APAOT‐x), where x (= 0, 13, 25, 50, 75, and 100) represents molar fraction allyloxy containing unit. APAOT‐x was obtained through interfacial copolymerization terephthaloyl...

We propose a residual-carrier modulation scheme for carrier frequency and phase recovery. With low-cost 3-MHz linewidth DFB laser, we demonstrate net rate of 1-Tb/s PS-256-QAM transmission over 80-km SSMF. The proposed offers up to 2.77 bit/4D-symbol GMI improvement compared with time-domain pilots.

A 42.8 Gbit/s NRZ transmitter based on electro-absorption modulation (EAM) is demonstrated experimentally in a transmission system over 1200 km standard singlemode fibre. The combined effect of positive chirp the EAM and second-order dispersion compresses pulse after transmission, which leads to better performance.
