Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are a valuable source of biomarkers and display the pathophysiological status various diseases. In COVID-19, EVs have been explored in several studies for their ability to reflect molecular changes caused by SARS-CoV-2. Here we provide insights into roles pathological processes associated with progression severity COVID-19.

Mayaro virus (MAYV) is responsible for a mosquito-borne tropical disease with clinical symptoms similar to dengue or chikungunya fevers. In addition the recent territorial expansion of MAYV, this may be an increasing number outbreaks. Currently, no vaccine available. Aedes aegypti promiscuous in its viral transmission and thus interesting model understand MAYV-vector interactions. While life-cycle MAYV known, mechanisms by which arbovirus affects mosquito host cells are not clearly...

Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is a single-stranded positive RNA that belongs to the genus Alphavirus and transmitted humans by infected Aedes aegypti albopictus bites. In humans, CHIKV usually causes painful symptoms during acute chronic stages of infection. Conversely, virus–vector interaction does not disturb mosquito’s fitness, allowing persistent Herein, we studied infection Ae. Aag-2 cells (multiplicity (MOI) 0.1) for 48 h through label-free quantitative proteomic analysis transmission...

Corynebacterium glutamicum is a bacterium widely employed in the industrial production of amino acids as well broad range other biotechnological products. The present study describes characterization C. proteoforms, and their post-translational modifications (PTMs) employing top-down proteomics. Despite previous evidence PTMs having roles regulation metabolism, this first proteome analysis organism. We identified 1125 proteoforms from 273 proteins, with 60% proteins presenting at least one...

The spectrum of enzymes required for complete lignocellulosic waste hydrolysis is too diverse to be secreted by a single organism. An alternative employ fungal co-cultures obtain more and enzymatic cocktails without the need mix during downstream processing. This study evaluated co-cultivation
