In fluctuating thermal conditions, the survival challenge for insects is particularly difficult because their physiological activities depend upon environmental temperature. The extreme temperature or heat stress leads to insect species' extinction and evolution in adaptation strategies. Upon heat, many species cannot survive, they do not possess sufficient tolerance during gradual habitat. current review, we demonstrated process which triggers responses toward stressed environments...

In recent years, there has been an increasing concern regarding the impact of pesticide exposure on pollinators, particularly honeybees ( Apis mellifera L.). This arises from their crucial role in maintaining ecological balance and global food production. Therefore, extensive investigation conducted to explore intricate relationship between pesticides biological development honey bees Rahim Yar Khan region. study assessed four (Emamectin benzoate, Chlorpyrifos, Imidacloprid, Acetamiprid) bee...

The Death's Head Hawkmoth (Acherontia atropos) is a remarkable species belonging to the family Sphingidae, known for its unique mimicry of skull-like pattern on thorax. This study presents first documented record Acherontia atropos in role kleptoparasite preying upon honey bees Rahim Yar Khan, southern most district Punjab, Pakistan. findings shed light interactions between this enigmatic moth and bee colonies, highlighting potential implications both local ecosystem apicultural practices.

Abstract Lettuce ( Lactuca sativa L.), a widely cultivated leafy green, is valued for its rich content of bioactive compounds, including folates, vitamins, tocopherols, ascorbic acid, and antioxidants. This study aimed to evaluate the effects amino acid supplementation on growth nutrient hydroponically grown lettuce. A greenhouse experiment using completely randomized design (CRD) was conducted, with three replications plants per replication. There were 4 treatments (T 0 (Control), T 1...

Extreme high-temperature events are the key factor to determine population dynamics of rice leaf folder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Guenée), in summer. Although we know that adult this insect can migrate avoid heat stress, behavioral response larva high temperature is still unclear. Therefore, impacts on traits C. including host choice, settling and folding were observed. The results revealed these clearly influenced by temperature. larvae preferred maize leaves rather than wheat at normal...

Behavioral thermoregulation is a key strategy for insects to cope with heat stress. The rice leaf folder Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenée (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) larvae usually fold one construct shelter. are vulnerable stress, and the temperature in summer often beyond optimal range of them.
