Two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) at oxide interfaces, which provide unique playgrounds for emergent phenomena, have attracted increasing attention in recent years. While most of the previous works focused on 2DEGs LaAlO_{3}/SrTiO_{3} here we report a new kind formed between magnetic insulator EuO and high-k perovskite KTaO_{3}. The are not only highly conducting, with maximal Hall mobility 111.6 cm^{2}/V s 2 K, but also well spin polarized, showing strongly hysteretic magnetoresistance...
Abstract Across inherited complex fold‐and‐thrust belts (FTBs), shortening may be accommodated at different rates depending on structural style variations; such cases have rarely been documented We present the example of Kepingtage FTB in southern Tianshan, which is bisected by NNW‐trending left‐lateral strike‐slip Piqiang Fault (PQF) into eastern and western segments. The 1.45 ± 0.31–2.10 0.42 mm/a rate segment a diffuse‐deformation pattern within five‐row thrust‐anticlinal zone 2.36...
Electron density distributions in α-Ge have been determined under high pressure using maximum entropy method with structure factors obtained from single crystal synchrotron x-ray diffraction a diamond anvil cell. The results show that the sp3 bonding is enhanced increasing up to 7.7(1) GPa. At higher pressures but below α-β transition of 11.0(1) GPa, sp3-like electron distribution progressively weakens concomitant increase d-orbitals hybridization. participation electronic supported by Ge...
In order to extend the lifetime of an anvil made tungsten carbide used in a large volume cubic high-pressure apparatus (CHPA), we analyzed properties with different magnitudes interference, matching steel supporting ring under high pressure using finite element method. It is found that peak value and distribution von Mises stress does not change obviously when magnitude interference smaller than 0.3mm. When reaches 0.3mm, its changes substantially, due which performance can be significantly...
The pressure-induced phase transitions of PbCO3 are studied using synchrotron radiation in a diamond anvil cell at room temperature. XRD measurement indicates that with an initial aragonite-type structure undergoes two ∼7.8 GPa and ∼15.7 GPa, respectively. higher-pressure appearing is stable up to 51.8 GPa. further confirmed by Raman scattering 23.3 During the decompression process, high-pressure phases gradually recovered starting structure, but exhibit some hysteresis. bulk modulus B0...

The structural phase transition of gadolinium-scandium-gallium garnet (Gd(3)Sc(2)Ga(3)O(12), GSGG) has been studied at high pressure and temperature using the synchrotron X-ray diffraction technique in a laser-heated diamond anvil cell. GSGG transformed to an orthorhombic perovskite structure approximately 24 GPa after laser heating 1500-2000 K. garnet-to-perovskite is associated with ∼8% volume reduction increase coordination number Ga(3+) or Sc(3+) ion. bulk modulus B(0) = 194(15) B(0)'...
High pressure is an essential thermodynamic parameter in exploring the performance of condensed energetic materials. Combination high-pressure techniques and supramolecular chemistry opens a new avenue for synthesis high energy density Herein, we fabricate high-pressure-assisted assembly material acetamidinium nitrate (C2N2H7+·NO3–, AN) with P-1 symmetry after 0–12 GPa–0 treatment at room temperature, which exhibits that 9.8% higher than initial P21/m phase. Evolution intermolecular lattice...
An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred in Tajikistan on February 23, 2023. Studying this is the key to understanding seismogenic structure area. The slip distribution MW6.9 was inverted using InSAR technology and a distributed model. results showed that fault dominated by dextral strike-slip motion with small number normal components. average strike 124°, dip angle 86°, maximum 0.7 m, moment MW6.85. epicenter located gradient zone effective elastic thickness lithosphere edge high-value GNSS...
BaMn2Bi2 possesses an iso-structure of iron pnictide superconductors and similar antiferromagnetic (AFM) ground state to that cuprates, therefore, it receives much more attention on its properties is expected be the parent compound a new family superconductors. When doped with potassium (K), undergoes transition from AFM insulator metal. Consequently, great interest suppress order in K-doped aim exploring potential superconductivity. Here, we report external pressure up 35.6 GPa cannot...
The electron density distributions in $\ensuremath{\beta}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{Ge}$ have been experimentally determined at situ high-pressure conditions using synchrotron diffraction techniques a diamond anvil cell. Upon decompression, the along $c$ axis tetragonal displays sudden drop 10--11 GPa close to that of structural \ensuremath{\alpha}-\ensuremath{\beta} transition, while samples remain as single crystals until transforming metastable Ge phases around 6.7--8.5 GPa. In contrast...
Information on the structural evolution of materials under high pressure is great importance for understanding properties exhibited pressure. High-pressure powder diffraction widely used to investigate structure at such Unfortunately, data are usually insufficient retrieving atomic structures, with high-pressure single-crystal being more desirable a purpose. Here, experimental system developed recently beamline 4W2 Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF) reported. The design and...
In this study, we collected mobile gravity observations in the middle segment of North Tianshan Mountains from August 2016 to July 2022 and carried out classical adjustment calculations under constraint absolute datum obtain spatiotemporal variation pattern local field. We used equivalent source inversion characteristics crustal apparent density. also extracted coseismic deformation field SAR data, using Hutubi earthquake as an example, constructed a model seismogenic fault. Abstract Kimberlite is characterized by explosive eruption powered excess carbon dioxides (CO 2 ) 1 and water . Given that diamond the dominant stable phase of in upper mantle 3 , it obscure where does CO kimberlite has come from. Here we show ferric iron oxidizes at 1900K, 20GPa 2000K, 25GPa, forming The lower dominated bridgmanite, which rich 4 Bridgmanite decomposes once brought to mantle, releasing extra iron. Therefore, oxidation may have been popularly occurring base -rich carbonated...
