During 2019-21, the AutoTest VIH, Libre d'accéder à la connaissance de son Statut (ATLAS) programme distributed around 380 000 HIV self-testing kits to key populations, including female sex workers, men who have with men, and their partners, in Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Senegal. We aimed estimate effects of ATLAS national scale-up self-test distribution on diagnosis, treatment coverage, incidence, HIV-related mortality.
The ATLAS programme aims to promote and implement HIV self-testing (HIVST) in three West African countries: Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Senegal. During 2019-2021, close collaboration with the national AIDS implementing partners communities, plans distribute 500,000 HIVST kits through eight delivery channels, combining facility-based, community-based strategies, primary secondary distribution of HIVST. Considering characteristics epidemics, targets are hard-to-reach populations: key populations...
Background: In West Africa, female sex workers are at increased risk of HIV acquisition and transmission. self-testing could be an effective tool to improve access frequency testing workers, their clients partners. This article explores perceptions regarding use the redistribution kits partners clients. Methods: Embedded within ATLAS, a qualitative study was conducted in Côte-d’Ivoire, Mali, Senegal 2020. Nine focus group discussions were conducted. A thematic analysis performed. Results:...
To estimate the epidemiological impact of past HIV interventions and magnitude contribution undiagnosed among different risk groups on new acquisitions in Côte d'Ivoire, Mali Senegal.
Context: The rate of HIV status disclosure to partners is low in Mali, a West African country with national prevalence 1.2%. self-testing (HIVST) could increase testing coverage among people living (PLHIV). AutoTest-VIH, Libre d'accéder à la connaissance de son Statut (ATLAS) program was launched Africa the objective distributing nearly half million self-tests from 2019 2021 Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal. ATLAS integrates several research activities. This article presents preliminary results...
Abstract The volatile constituents of the leaves Vepris heterophylla R. Let. (Rutaceae), were studied for first time. Thirty‐three compounds, out forty‐four detected, identified by means capillary GC and GC‐MS. C 12 hydrocarbons, geijerene pregeijerene (together about 20%), are main constituents.
Abstract Background A third of people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Western Africa had an undiagnosed infection 2020. In 2019-2021, the ATLAS programme has distributed a total 380 000 self-testing (HIVST) kits to key populations (KP) including female sex workers (FSW) and men who have (MSM), their partners Côte d’Ivoire, Mali Senegal. We predicted potential impact national HIVST scale-up strategies among KP. Methods deterministic model transmission was calibrated country-specific empirical...
To achieve the 90-90-90 targets assigned by UNAIDS, it is crucial to monitor ART in HIV-1-infected patients, especially resource-limited countries. evaluate immunovirological response after 12 months of newly HIV-1-diagnosed people Bamako, Mali; determine primary and acquired resistance rates antiretroviral drugs; impact on efficacy ART. One hundred nineteen (88.2% women; median age 34 years) were enrolled between January June 2014. HIV-1 RNA loads (Abbott RealTime assay) tested blood before...
Objective: To evaluate the mutational patterns on pol gene of main HIV-1 strain archived in cell genome 10 chronically infected men according to their clinical and therapeutic history. The genotyping resistance profiles were compared between first blood plasma available at time HIV diagnosis rectal biopsies PBMC sampled 1-5 years after initiation combined antiretroviral therapy (cART). Methods: RNA...
Little is known about the dynamic of HIV-1 shedding and resistance profiles in female genital reservoir after antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation resource-limited countries (RLCs), which critical for evaluating residual sexual transmission risk. The present study aimed to evaluate efficacy 1 year duration ART at blood levels females newly diagnosed from three centers Bamako, Mali. Seventy-eight consenting were enrolled time their infection diagnosis. RNA loads (Abbott Real-Time assay)...
Abstract Background Consultations for sexually transmitted infection (STI) provide an opportunity to offer HIV testing both patients and their partners. This study describes the organisation of self-testing (HIVST) distribution during STI consultations in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) analyse perceived barriers facilitators associated with use redistribution HIVST kits by patients. Materials methods A qualitative was conducted between March August 2021 investigate three services providing HIVST:...
Helicobacter pylori (Hp) is a bacteria associated with gastritis and gastric cancer (GC). Its prevalence higher than 80% in Mali affects the incidence of GC, which major department digestive surgery. VacA CagA toxins are responsible Hp strain polymorphism. With prophage, they also region depending diversity. The aim this study was to identify variants strains their prophage identity Bamako (Mali). A total 61 biopsies were isolated patients diseases. extracted DNA amplified by PCR targeting...
