In this paper, the spalling causes of backup rolls in a roughing mill hot strip rolling were investigated. The withstood extreme service conditions with long cycles for and work rolls, large variety same width campaigns, severe non‐uniform wear contours rolls. Analysis cyclic stress applied on indicated that contact played dominant role fatigue which led to roll surface. A 3D finite element model system was established stresses between whole periods calculated. simulation results showed had...
Work roll wear is a key factor that affects the quality of steel strip during hot rolling process. With demand for same width rolling, work severe 'U' groove type appears. In this paper, it found surface cannot reach their full potential with conventional shifting mode, which lead to and uneven wear. As solution, sinusoidal cyclical mode proposed, its effects on are investigated. result, can be relocated from central area sides. meantime, contact stress peaks reduce significantly in mid...
Transversal temperature distribution and phase transformation of the strip steel in hot rolling process are analyzed by thermographic observations thermal simulation tests. The effects transversal state on profile investigated finite element (FE) simulations, which material model is generated from tests a constitutive model. FE calculation shows that decreased at edge causes smaller crown with dual‐phase state, while it leads to bulges under single‐phase state. With convex distribution,...
In order to improve the durability of granulated crumb rubber asphalt pavement, different amount TPS modifier are added into mixture do tests water-boiling, water immersion, immersing Marshall, cantabro immersion and some other indoor experiments. Through comparing with base SBS modified asphalt, we found that adhesion ability mineral aggregate were after adding modifier. The stability is improved. has also been improved dramatically. additions, optimum mixing volume for 12%; temperature 185°C.
Abstract A material mechanical model provides basic data for numerical simulation and technological optimization during the forming process. In this paper, flow behavior of hot compressive deformation 0.3 wt.-% Si non-orientation electrical steel were investigated by thermal tests, a constitutive was built based on new modeling method. The tests conducted Gleeble 1500 thermo-mechanical simulator over range temperatures from 750 to 1050 °C strain rates 0.1 10 s −1 . To predict process silicon...
Abstract In this paper, the flow stress behaviors of non-oriented silicon steel are investigated by hot compressive experiments and a constitutive model is built based on experimental data. The provides material for FE numerical investigation. deformation during rolling process 3D model. Contact plate shape in different working conditions presented. results can provide primary data precise shaping steels process.
Manufacturing process of high-temperature turbine blade in heavy-duty gas mainly include precision casting, grinding and other processes, while casting processes usually cause residual stresses surface layer blade, affecting its service performance. In this paper, stress are tested analyzed by X-ray diffraction method. Aiming at the weak effect caused coarse grains Mar-M247 nickel-based alloy for blades, parameters such as collimator diameter, exposure time number times were optimized...
Aiming at the service performance characteristics of cement concrete pavement, this paper puts forward optimized design concept for groove parameters pavement. Single parameter optimal choice is systematically analyzed based on integrated quality Through a variety multi-contrast laboratory tests and theoretical analysis, from three aspects anti-slide, strength, noise reduction, scheme are demonstrated proposed, form suitable environment in seasonal frozen region given.
Based on measured data of HSS (high-speed steel) and HCr (highchromium iron) work rolls applied in 1580mm HSM (hot strip mills) with mass production electrical steel strip, an roll wear prediction model upstream stands for non-oriented rolling was established by genetic algorithm. The accuracy the verified could guide practical production.
Abstract Contact state between work roll and backup has significant influnce on surface fatigue strip steel shape. In this work, the contact behaviours of a hot mill were investigated. The stress distributions along axial radial direction calculated. effect uneven distribution profile was analysed. risk caused by concentration pointed out. order to improve distribution, design method proposed. Both finite element calculation industrial test have been carried out showed that new excellent in...
