Summary In prevalent cohort studies with follow-up, the time-to-event outcome is subject to left truncation leading selection bias. For estimation of distribution time event, conventional methods adjusting for tend rely on quasi-independence assumption that and event are independent observed region. This violated when there dependence between time, possibly induced by measured covariates. Inverse probability weighting can be used in this case, but it sensitive misspecification model. work,...

In this paper, a high-sensitivity distributed optical fiber salinity sensor based on frequency-scanning phase-sensitive time-domain reflectometry (φ-OTDR) and polyimide-coated single-mode is proposed. Distributed sensing over an 1100 m with 1 spatial resolution was demonstrated, sensitivity of 782.4 MHz/(mol/L) achieved the changing from 0 mol/L to 1.61 mol/L. Then measurement accuracies frequency shift were evaluated theoretically experimentally. Both theoretical experimental results show...

In this paper, a white light interferometer-based distributed polarization coupling system is developed for measuring the frequency of dynamic stress in two ways. First, movable mirror Michelson interferometer (MI) scans point to obtain its interferogram. The Hilbert transform and fast Fourier (FFT) are then used extract envelope interferogram spectrum envelope, respectively. This first method achieved single double measurements with an absolute error less than 0.47 Hz. Second, MI adjusted...

Rayleigh scattering-based distributed optical fiber sensors with long sensing distance and large dynamic range are highly desired for application scenarios such as vehicle tracking, structure health monitoring, geological survey. To enlarge the range, we propose a coherent time domain reflectometry (COTDR) based on double-sideband linear frequency modulation (LFM) pulse. By utilizing I/Q demodulation, both positive negative band of backscattering (RBS) signal can be properly demodulated....

This paper proposes a realized EGARCH model with dynamic jumps (REGARCH-Jump) incorporating high-frequency information and time-varying jump intensity to forecast VIX. We derive the risk-neutral of REGARCH-Jump as well corresponding model-implied VIX formula. Our empirical results show that outperforms range competing models in terms forecasting performance.

In this Letter, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a highly sensitive distributed dynamic pressure sensor based on dual-linear frequency modulated optical domain reflectometry (OFDR) coating thickness-enhanced single-mode fiber (SMF). A dual-sideband linear modulation (LFM) signal is used to interrogate the sensing fiber, which allows us obtain Rayleigh backscattering signal. Due opposite slopes of two LFM sidebands, spectra sidebands drift in directions when disturbed. By subtracting...
