The transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) is expressed in the cardiovascular system, and increased TRPV1 expression has been associated with cardiac hypertrophy. Nevertheless, role of pathogenesis hypertrophy underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In cultured cardiomyocytes, activation cell size elevated atrial natriuretic peptide mRNA intracellular calcium level, which was reversed by antagonist capsazepine. Increased phosphorylated calmodulin-dependent protein...
Mortality rates associated with off‑pump coronary artery bypass (CAB) are relatively high, as the majority of patients requiring CAB at a high risk for cardiac events. The present study aimed to establish porcine models acute myocardial ischemia, and evaluate protective role shunt active perfusion. A total 30 pigs were randomly assigned five groups, follows: i) Sham (control); ii) A1 (shunt; stenosis rate, 55%); iii) A2 75%); iv) B1 (active perfusion; v) B2 75%) groups. Aortic pressure (P0),...
