Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is associated with heightened cardiovascular disease and increased susceptibility to osteoporosis, shared underlying mechanisms. This study aimed investigate the association between vascular function bone mineral density (BMD). We conducted a cross-sectional of 49 patients RA at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. Endothelial was measured as reactive hyperaemia index (RHI)-endothelial peripheral arterial tonometry aortic stiffness carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity...
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination is essential for patients with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases (AIIRD) to reduce the risk of morbidity and mortality associated serious COVID-19 infection. With endemicity, waning vaccine- infection-acquired immunity, development SARS-CoV-2 variants, need additional doses vaccines against illness in high-risk immunocompromised persons remains imperative. This review examines how immunomodulatory therapies affect vaccine-induced...
Abstract Background Older adults admitted for falls and its complications, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), is increasing. Recent studies have shown that those with who presented to the emergency department (ED) had an increased frequency of ED revisits, especially head trauma. Aim To determine characteristics predictors fall‐related (FRTBI) in older adults. Methods Retrospective medical chart review 339 patients aged 65 years TBI 2014 due a fall. Characteristics analysed include...
Hyperammonemia syndrome (HS) from Ureaplasma infection is typically reported in posttransplant recipients, particularly lung transplant. We describe a young woman with activated PI3K delta 2 who presented HS disseminated urealyticum septic arthritis. also performed literature review of Ureaplasma-associated nontransplant patients.
A mixture of the syn and anti conformers 9,10-bis(2,3- dimethylphenyl ) phenanthrene was prepared. The unexpectedly high energy barrier for free rotation two aryl rings is described. Variable temperature 1H n.m.r . studies failed to provide thermodynamic data conformational inter-conversion due limitations in practicably measurable range. energies activation both interconversion processes were, however, determined by gas chromatographic range 225-300°C.
Good syndrome (GS) is a primary immunodeficiency (PID) that presents in middle aged to older adults with features of thymoma, hypogammaglobulinemia, CD4 T lymphopenia, inverted CD4/CD8+ ratio, and impaired T-cell mitogen proliferative responses. We present patient, 62-year-old female, who first presented disease manifestation acute hepatitis from B virus (HBV) reactivation, which was subsequently complicated by recurrent hospitalizations for pneumonia concomitant Helicobacter pylori...
Rhombencephalitis (RE) refers to inflammatory diseases involving the brainstem and cerebellum. Although RE is a rare entity, it associated with high morbidity mortality. The management of such patients often challenging in terms identifying etiology defining prognosis. Infections, autoimmune paraneoplastic conditions are commonly implicated. Patients present biphasic illness an initial flu-like syndrome followed by dysfunction. CSF pleocytosis, abnormal brain MRI findings, isolation organism...

We report 2 patients who first developed cutaneous manifestations, followed by autoimmune phenomena, infections, and hypogammaglobulinemia. They were initially diagnosed with common variable immunodeficiency; however, the diagnosis was revised to cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen 4 haploinsufficiency after genetic functional testing.
