The Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST, also called the Guo Shou Jing Telescope) is a special reflecting Schmidt telescope. LAMOST's design allows both large aperture (effective of 3.6 m–4.9 m) and wide field view (FOV) (5°). It has an innovative active configuration which continuously changes mirror's surface that adjusts during observation process combines thin deformable mirror optics with segmented optics. Its primary (6.67 m × 6.05 (5.74m 4.40m) are...

Objects both in pilot first year general are included LAMOST First Data Release (DR1). started October 2011 ended June 2012, data have been released to public as Pilot August 2012. September completed its operation 2013. DR1 includes total 1202 plates containing...
We present a high-quality, bias-free quantum random number generator (QRNG) using photon arrival time selectively in accordance with the of detection events within sampling interval attenuated light. It is well showed both theoretical analysis and experiments verification that this production method eliminates bias correlation perfectly without more post processing can clearly pass standard randomness tests. fulfill experimental whose rate reach up to 45Mbps.
Measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution (MDIQKD) protocol is immune to all attacks on detection and guarantees the information-theoretical security even with imperfect single photon detectors. Recently, several proof-of-principle demonstrations of MDIQKD have been achieved. Those experiments, although novel, are implemented through limited distance a rate less than 0.1 bps. Here, by developing 75 MHz clock fully-automatic highly-stable system, superconducting nanowire...
Line-of-sight diode-laser absorption techniques have been extended to enable temperature measurements in nonuniform-property flows. The sensing strategy for such flows exploits the broad wavelength-scanning abilities (>1.7 nm approximately 30 cm(-1)) of a vertical cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) interrogate multiple transitions along single line sight. To demonstrate strategy, VCSEL-based sensor oxygen gas distributions was developed. A VCSEL beam directed through paths containing...
Wurtzite aluminum nitride (AlN) is known to exhibit six Raman-active optic phonons, making it appealing for Raman lasing. Here, we demonstrate continuous-wave lasers with a low threshold and high slope efficiency in quality factor AlN-on-sapphire microrings. Stokes radiations around 1.7–1.8 μm cascaded operation into 1.9–2.0 μm are identified telecom pump. Two types of lights distinct shifts polarizations recorded via selective excitation corresponding accordance the selection rules AlN. The...
A real-time Quantum Key Distribution System is developed in this paper. In the system, based on feature of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), secure key extraction control and algorithm have been optimally designed to perform sifting, error correction privacy amplification altogether real-time. QKD experiment information synchronization mechanism high-speed classic data channel are ensure steady operation system. Decoy state synchronous laser light source used while length optical fiber...
The main type of obstacles practical applications quantum key distribution (QKD) network are various attacks on detection. Measurement-device-independent QKD (MDIQKD) protocol is immune to all these attacks, and thus, a strong candidate for security. Recently, several proof-of-principle demonstrations MDIQKD have been performed. Although novel, those experiments implemented in the laboratory with secure rates less than 0.1 b/s. Besides, they need manual calibration frequently maintain system...
In situ measurements of CO concentration were recorded with tunable diode-laser absorption spectroscopy techniques in both the exhaust and immediate post-flame regions an atmospheric-pressure flat-flame burner operating on ethylene air. Two room-temperature cw single-mode InGaAsSb/AlGaAsSb diode lasers near 2.3 µm tuned over individual transitions first overtone band (v′ = 2 ← v″ 0) to record high-resolution line shapes duct [79 cm above burner, ∼470 K; R(15) transition at 4311.96 cm-1]...
Abstract High-cadence, multiwavelength observations have continuously revealed the diversity of tidal disruption events (TDEs), thus greatly advancing our knowledge and understanding TDEs. In this work, we conducted an intensive optical-UV X-ray follow-up campaign TDE AT 2023lli found a remarkable month-long bump in its UV/optical light curve nearly 2 months prior to maximum brightness. The represents longest separation time from main peak among known TDEs date. outburst declines as t −4.10...
Abstract Thanks to the rapidly increasing time-domain facilities, we are entering a golden era of research on gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). In this Letter, report our observations GRB 240529A with Burst Optical Observer and Transient Exploring System, 1.5 m telescope at Observatorio de Sierra Nevada, 2.5 Wide Field Survey Telescope China, Large Binocular Telescope, Telescopio Nazionale Galileo. The prompt emission shows two comparable energetic episodes separated by quiescence time roughly 400 s....
Abstract The Kibble-Zurek mechanism is the paradigm to account for nonadiabatic dynamics of a system across continuous phase transition. Its study in quantum regime hindered by requisite ground state cooling. We report experimental simulation critical transverse-field Ising model set Landau-Zener crossings pseudo-momentum space, that can be probed with high accuracy using single trapped ion. test momentum space and find measured scaling excitations accordance theoretical prediction.
A newly developed, qualitative and quantitative method based on tunable synchrotron radiation vacuum ultraviolet photoionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (SR-VUV-PI-TOFMS) efficiency (PIE) curve simulation was applied for the online analysis of isomers isobaric compounds in gas phase mainstream cigarette smoke. After blocking particulate components by Cambridge filter pad, a puff fresh gas-phase smoke immediately introduced into ionization chamber through heated capillary, then...
