The gas-liquid mass transfer from bubbles is estimated by Direct Numerical Simulation for fully contaminated behaving as solid spheres, partially spherical and clean bubbles. Partial contamination of bubble interface accounted the Stagnant Cap Model to show effect surfactant on hydrodynamic at low Reynolds number. Hydrodynamics results are validated comparison with other works literature. numerical then analysed in term local averaged Sherwood numbers. DNS classical relations gives good...

Abstract The highly colored textile effluents require efficient treatment before being released into the environment. In this study, a continuous-flow single-channel reactor operating in closed- circuit was used to apply electrocoagulation for of synthetic wastewater. First, characterization hydrodynamic within is evaluated by Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation using k-ε turbulence model (Comsol Multiphysics®). Apart from non-uniform distribution velocities inside reactor, no particular...

Abstract Response surface methodology (RSM) is used to optimize the electrocoagulation/electro-flotation process applied for removal of turbidity from water in an internal loop airlift reactor. Two flat aluminium electrodes are monopolar arrangement production coagulants. The central composite design as a second-order mathematical model. model describes change measured responses efficiency and energy consumption according initial conductivity (X1), voltage (X2), treatment time (X3)...
