The only known source of vitamin B12 (adenosylcobalamin) is from bacteria and archaea. Here, using genetic metabolic engineering, we generate an Escherichia coli strain that produces via engineered de novo aerobic biosynthetic pathway. In vitro and/or in vivo analysis genes involved adenosylcobinamide phosphate biosynthesis Rhodobacter capsulatus suggest the steps co(II)byrinic acid a,c-diamide to adocobalamin are same both anaerobic pathways. Finally, increase yield a recombinant E. by more...

Abstract Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive brain tumor and characterized by a poor prognosis high recurrence mortality rates. Biochanin A (BCA) exhibits promising clinical anti-tumor effects. In this study, we aimed to explore pharmacological mechanisms which BCA acts against GBM. Network pharmacology was employed identify overlapping target genes between Differentially expressed from Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis 2 (GEPIA2) database were visualized using VolcaNose....

Monthly in situ monitoring of cave air CO2 and drip water chemistry were carried out Shenqi Cave, Sichuan, southwest China, during a hydrological year from April 2016 to December 2016. Results indicate that the temperature (~11.7°C) relative humidity (~100%) stable whole year. The CH4 concentrations changed ~2000ppb outside ~500ppb inside cave. average varied ~550ppm winter ~1200ppm summer, with their δ13C values ~ –15‰ –21‰, indicating influences seasonal biologic activities ventilation...

Microbial enrichment is an effective method to obtain highly abundant methanogenic propionate-degrading microbial consortia (syntrophic consortia) in complex environments. Nevertheless, there were few studies about dynamic community change and syntrophic mechanisms over a long time bioreactor operation. In this study, the efficient enriched CSTR, effect of propionic acid loading (PAL) on structure functional pathways was investigated. By single injection mode (30mL injected into reactor once...
