Abstract In Cu(In 1 − x ,Ga )Se (CIGS)-based solar cells, the cadmium sulfide (CdS) layer is conventionally used as a buffer layer. current study, CdS was replaced by Indium (In 2 S 3 ) layer, and impact of various concentrations Ga in CIGS absorber, band gap Na y Cu 1−y 5 8 interfacial on efficiency these cells were investigated. The results indicated that absence , optimal performance obtained with an E g−In2S3 value 3.1 eV ratio Ga/(Ga + In) (GGI) = 1, yielding 21.97%. formation...
