To study the capability of CdSe thin films to use as an absorber layer in semi-transparent film solar cells, structural, optical, electrical and photovoltaic properties thermally evaporated (thickness 300 nm) a function silver-doping were investigated. A novel facile method was used Ag-doping samples. Some aqueous solution silver nitrate (with various concentration) spin coated onto surface followed by air-annealing diffuse dopants into layers. The field emission scanning electron microscope...

So far, the antibacterial activity of some organic and inorganic compounds has been studied. Barium zirconate titanate [Ba(ZrxTi₁-x)O₃] (x = 0.05) nanoparticle is an example materials. In vitro studies have provided evidence for this nanoparticle. current study, nano-powder was synthesized by sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction showed that powder single-phase had a perovskite structure at calcination temperature 1000 °C. Antibacterial desired assessed on two gram-positive (Staphylococcus...

We show that a periodic nanostructure patterned into polymeric or indium tin oxide (ITO) surface is capable of aligning liquid crystal (LC) molecules. Gratings different depths were created on thin ITO surfaces with submicron and micron periods by superposition ultraviolet plane waves. The depth the gratings was varied changing fluence laser. This method allows to pattern orientations over small areas does not suffer from disadvantages rubbing based alignment methods. LC tested forming...

Groovy surfaces: The small increase in π-electronic character that results from the change a phenyl- to naphthalene-functionalized optical switch can have significant consequences. latter creates well-defined, grooved surface (see picture), which has been prepared by utilizing method of noncontact alignment-layer construction. Such process for liquid-crystal alignment, is based on hierarchical process, does not necessitate use clean room.

We focused on the optical properties of square array subwavelength holes created within a titanium nitride (TiN) thin film. The TiN layer was placed top dielectric as surface plasmonic system originated from an intermetallic–dielectric arrangement. finite-difference time-domain method used via Optiwave package to simulate periodic and circular layer. effect geometrical material parameters such constant (a), size (S), shape holes, electric permittivity substrate has been investigated. An...

Agronomic and environmental factors affect quality quantity of constituents in Saffron. In this study, we compared chemical antioxidant compounds organic (OS) inorganic (IOS) stigma saffron evaluated their anti-proliferative apoptosis effects on cancer cells. Total capacity both were characterized by FRAP, DPPH Folin-Ciocalteu. HPLC MTT methods used to assay the amount secondary metabolites anticancer effects, respectively. The expression two apoptosis-related genes treated cells...

We have prepared a grooved indium tin oxide (ITO) surface with groove widths of ∼40–90 nm and variable separation up to 36 μm using atomic force microscopy nanolithography. Twisted nematic pixels 4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenly (5CB) liquid crystal were rubbed polyimide counter plate. The 5CB molecules align along the direction grooves, but no pretilt angle was observed on ITO surface. anchoring energy appeared not depend nor scan force. lateral correlation length measured be 2.2 μm. If is...
