It remains unknown whether newly identified anti-inflammatory/immunosuppressive cytokine interleukin-35 (IL-35) is different from other anti-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-10 and transforming growth factor (TGF)-β in terms of inhibition inflammation initiation suppression full-blown inflammation. Using experimental database mining statistical analysis methods we developed, examined the tissue expression profiles regulatory mechanisms IL-35 comparison to cytokines. Our results suggest that...

The role of receptors for endogenous metabolic danger signals-associated molecular patterns has been characterized recently as bridging innate immune sensory systems to initiation inflammation in bone marrow-derived cells, such macrophages. However, it remains unknown whether endothelial cells (ECs), the cell type with largest numbers and first vessel exposed circulating blood, can sense hyperlipidemia. This report determined caspase-1 plays a ECs sensing hyperlipidemia promoting EC...

Abstract Hyperglycemia-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation contributes to development of diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM). This study was designed determine the effect an antioxidant butin (BUT) on ischemia/reperfusion-induced myocardial injury in mice. Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (MI/R) induced C57/BL6J diabetes Infarct size and cardiac function were detected. For vitro study, H9c2 cells used. To clarify mechanisms, proteases inhibitors or siRNA Proteins levels investigated by...

Obesity paradox (OP) describes a widely observed clinical finding of improved cardiovascular fitness and survival in some overweight or obese patients. The molecular mechanisms underlying OP remain enigmatic partly due to lack animal models mirroring Using apolipoprotein E knock-out (apoE−/−) mice on high fat (HF) diet as an atherosclerotic obesity model, we demonstrated 1) microRNA-155 (miRNA-155, miR-155) is significantly up-regulated the aortas apoE−/− mice, miR-155 deficiency inhibits...

Background: Inflammatory factors play a crucial role throughout the development and progression of atherosclerosis, which has been considered as chronic vascular inflammatory disease. Luteolin, natural flavonoid exists in many medicinal materials, anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic other pharmacological effects. Recently, protective effects luteolin on cardiovascular disease have reported. However, there is paucity studies anti-atherosclerosis. Therefore, anti-atherosclerosis potential remains...

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has infected over 124 million people worldwide. In addition to the development of therapeutics and vaccines, evaluation sequelae in recovered patients is also important. Recent studies have indicated that COVID-19 ability infect intestinal tissues trigger alterations gut microbiota. However, whether these changes microbiota persist into recovery stage remains largely unknown. Here, we recruited seven healthy Chinese men male with an average 3-months after...

Background Papillary thyroid micro-carcinoma (PTMC) is defined as a tumor with larger diameter ≤1 cm which has an indolent course and satisfying prognosis. However, the incidence of lymph node metastasis PTMC cannot be ignored. The aim this study was to assess in patients, well evaluate risk factors for both central metastases (CLNM) lateral (LLNM). Methods Patients who underwent thyroidectomy from January 2017 October 2020, pathologically diagnosed were enrolled our their medical records...

A general approach for the α-arylation of heteroarenes with nitroarenes via denitrative coupling is reported first time. Various heteroarenes, including derivatives furan, benzofuran, pyrrole, indole, thiophene, and benzothiophene, can be arylated at α-position in moderate to good yields. Mechanistic studies demonstrate that reaction proceeds a CMD pathway, C–H bond activation as rate-determining step. Furthermore, scalability applicability synthesis drug molecule exemplify utility this protocol.

Abstract Objective We sought to evaluate the left atrial (LA) strain parameters of maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients before and after dialysis by two dimensional speckle tracking imaging (2D‐STI), explore effect volume load change on LA function. Methods Seventy‐six with end stage renal disease (ESRD) (HD) were enrolled in study protocol. The median duration was 24.0 (7.5, 59.5) months. In addition, 30 healthy subjects selected as control group. Comprehensive echocardiography performed...
