The GEOTRACES Intermediate Data Product 2017 (IDP2017) is the second publicly available data product of international programme, and contains measured quality controlled before end 2016. IDP2017 includes from Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic, Southern Indian oceans, with about twice volume previous IDP2014. For first time, for a large suite biogeochemical parameters as well aerosol rain characterising atmospheric trace element isotope (TEI) sources. TEI in are by careful assessment intercalibration...

We report empirical estimates of the fractional solubility aerosol iron over Sargasso Sea during periods characterized by high concentrations Saharan dust (summer 2003) and low aerosols in North American/maritime Atlantic air masses (spring 2004 early summer 2004). observed a strong inverse relationship between operational (defined using flow‐through deionized‐water leaching protocol) total concentration iron, whereby was elevated when loadings were low. This is consistent with...

In this paper we introduce and develop the theory of FI-modules. We apply to obtain new theorems about: - cohomology configuration space n distinct ordered points on an arbitrary (connected, oriented) manifold diagonal coinvariant algebra r sets variables tautological ring moduli n-pointed curves polynomials rank varieties x matrices subalgebra genus Torelli group generated by H^1 more. The symmetric S_n acts each these vector spaces. most cases almost nothing is known about characters...

Many properties were measured in the Delaware estuary from freshwater to its mouth (30 ‰ salinity). Distinctive mixing patterns property‐salinity plots illustrate predictable behavior for different parameters. For example, alkalinity always shows an expected positive linear relationship and dissolved organic carbon a negative (indicative of conservative mixing). In contrast, phosphate nonlinear plot suggestive estuarine source, nitrate biochemical reactivity, iron indicative geochemical...

Sulfur species in pore waters of the Great Marsh, Delaware, were analyzed seasonally by polarographic methods. The determined (and their concentrations micromoles per liter) included inorganic sulfides (≤3360), polysulfides (≤326), thiosulfate (≤104), tetrathionate (≤302), organic thiols (≤2411), and disulfides (≤139). Anticipated bisulfide increases with depth due to sulfate reduction subsurface excesses p H minima, result a seasonal redox cycle. Unanticipated was pervasive presence (for...

We report iron measurements for water column and aerosol samples collected in the Sargasso Sea during July‐August 2003 (summer 2003) April‐May 2004 (spring 2004). Our data reveal a large seasonal change dissolved (dFe) concentration of surface waters Bermuda Atlantic Time‐series Study region, from ∼1–2 nM summer 2003, when concentrations were high (mean 10 nmol m −3 ), to ∼0.1–0.2 spring 2004, low 0.64 ). During we observed an increase ∼0.6 dFe over 13 days, presumably due eolian input;...

FI-modules were introduced by the first three authors to encode sequences of representations symmetric groups.Over a field characteristic 0, finite generation an FI-module implies representation stability for corresponding sequence S n -representations.In this paper we prove Noetherian property over arbitrary rings: any sub-FI-module finitely generated is generated. This lets us extend many results in positive characteristic, and even integral coefficients. We focus on major applications main...
