Disaster plant pathology addresses how natural and human-driven disasters impact diseases the requirements for smart management solutions. Local to global drivers of disease change in response disasters, often creating environments more conducive disease. Most have indirect effects on health through factors such as disrupted supply chains damaged infrastructure. There is also potential direct from pathogen or vector dispersal due floods, hurricanes, human migration driven by war. Pulse...

Abstract. Methods of estimating evapotranspiration require weather variables as their main input data. Thus, the lack full data sets is one challenges for evaluating and mitigating effects climate variability change on agricultural production systems. The Hargreaves-Samani method (HS) ways to estimate reference (ETo) when only temperature observations are available, which a common situation in many enterprises. Another possible option regions not served by stations use gridded (GWD). Based...

Meteorological observations are widely used as input for disease alert systems in agriculture. In Florida, USA, the AgroClimate Advisory Systems provide alerts to growers of various crops, including strawberries, blueberries, and citrus. Data observed weather stations belonging FAWN (Florida Automated Weather Network) simulate risk, notified when environmental conditions favorable infection, helping them decide spray prevention. However, observation problems stations, such sensor or...

The weather conditions favoring Blueberry anthracnose fruit rot disease incidence and development can be difficult to predict, it significantly impact yield under conducive patterns. For that reason, the authors of this new 6-page publication UF/IFAS Plant Pathology Department developed validated a web-based alert system for blueberry AFR, Advisory System (BAS), help growers in Florida identify favorable improve management. This article describes a Multiagent System (MAS) proposed to monitor conversations in the chat tool of Muzar Virtual Community (Comunidade do Muzar, CV-Muzar). Thus, conversational markers and their use synchronous environment are being analyzed propose compensation mechanism for identified communication deficits. The MAS has five cooperative agents that real time interfere with interface advice and, if necessary, warn participant.

In the context of agricultural sustainability and disease management, this paper presents a framework to cluster weather data in time series format improve alert systems. The application is demonstrated case study using climate from Florida/US covers preprocessing, clustering, an evaluation phases ensure quality consistency results. used research belong FAWN (Florida Automated Weather Network) was targeted at Agroclimate Advisory Systems, which provide alerts growers crops such as...

Seasonal climate variability is a major source of crop production risk. The expected increase in and frequency extreme events the coming years decades due to change will bring additional challenges for most commodities geographies. In recent years, climatic anomalies weather have impacted global breadbaskets. many instances, impact these could be unanticipated until later time during growing season or even harvest, challenging existing yield forecasting programs posing significant threat...
