The occurrence of 187 pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) was investigated in bottled water samples (35 33 from Chinese foreign brands, respectively). Forty-four compounds belonging to 14 PPCP categories were detected 56 the 68 samples. Further, more than 35% contained at least three PPCPs, one particular sample, 11 different PPCPs detected. Macrolides constituted most prevalent category, salbutamol, erythromycin, azithromycin showed highest detection frequency (17.6%)....

The emergence of drug-resistant Enterobacteriaceae carrying plasmid-mediated β-lactamase genes has become a significant threat to public health. Organisms in the family containing New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase‑1 (NDM-1) and its variants, which are capable hydrolyzing nearly all β-lactam antibacterial agents, including carbapenems, referred as superbugs distributed worldwide. Despite efforts over past decade, discovery an NDM-1 inhibitor that can reach clinic remains challenge. Here, we...

The extensive use of antibiotics has caused the global spread multidrug-resistant bacteria and genes, seriously reducing antibiotic efficacy threatening animal human health. As an alternative, traditional Chinese veterinary medicine (TCVM) was used in this study for its lack drug resistance low toxicity. Huangqin-honghua-pugongying-jinyinhua extract (HHPJE), a novel TCVM, consists extracts Huangqin (Scutellaria baicalensis), Honghua (Carthami Flos), Pugongying (Taraxacum) Jinyinhua...

Abstract Clostridium perfringens , capable of causing intestinal infections in both animals and humans, represents a significant public health concern. This study aimed to assess the occurrence beta2 toxin-coding gene cpb2 C. from various host species explore genetic contexts this gene. The results showed an enrichment pig-derived . A comparative analysis detection rates pCP13-like plasmids revealed that itself, rather than plasmids, caused enrichment. Sequence comparison -positive was...

Induced molting enables laying hens to relax, restore energy and prolong the hen cycle, resolving problems such as poor egg quality minimizing economic losses caused by rising global feeding costs. However, traditional methods may disrupt gut microflora promote potential pathogens infections. This study used a customized additive with mixture of probiotics vitamins induce examine cecal microbiota post molting. A total two hundred 377 day-of-ISA Brown were randomly assigned four groups:...

Hu sheep, a locally bred species in China known for its high productivity, is currently suffering from pneumonia. Here, we combine high-throughput 16SrRNA gene sequencing and bacterial culturing to examine the community pneumonic Sheep lungs (p < 0.05). The results showed that abundance diversity of lung bacteria healthy sheep were significantly higher than those pneumonia = 0.139), while there was no significant difference between moderate severe Furthermore, composition microbiota...

An ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem quadrupole mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) method was developed and validated for confirmatory analysis of four nitroimidazoles three hydroxy metabolites in honey. Honey samples were dissolved 2% formic acid solution isolated enriched by dispersive-solid phase extraction using mixed-mode strong cation-exchange sorbent. The determination involves separation analytes on an UHPLC C18 column detection multiple reaction monitoring positive...

A rapid, reliable, and sensitive method was developed for the determination of ten tranquilizers in swine urine. Sample preparation based on solid-phase extraction, which combined isolation compounds sample cleanup a single step. Separation performed reversed phase C18 column by gradient elution with chromatographic run time seven minutes, consisting 0.1% formic acid water acetonitrile as mobile phase. Multiple reaction monitoring positive mode applied data acquisition. Matrix-matched...

Understanding the impact of antibiotics on bacterial metabolism is crucial for elucidating their mechanisms action and developing more effective therapeutic strategies. β-lactam antibiotics, distinguished by distinctive ring structure, are widely used as antimicrobial agents. This study investigates global metabolic alterations induced three antibiotics-meropenem (a carbapenem), ampicillin penicillin), ceftazidime cephalosporin)-in

Nowadays, the automatic detection of harmful organisms in power places has attracted attention due to extensive unattended way places. However, surveillance pictures are prone motion blurring and cannot be effectively detected their frequent fast movements On basis improved Cycle-Consistent Adversarial Networks (CycleGAN) model, we propose a method for removing blur from images biological This does not require paired blurred real sharp training, which is consistent with actual requirements....
