Abstract Methylcellulose (MC) / SiO2 organic inorganic hybrid materials have been prepared from MC and methyltriethoxysilane or ethyltrimethoxysilane, characterized by XRD, FTIR AFM. XRD showed peak shifts. shows intermolecular hydrogen bonding between SiO2. AFM depicts surface roughness which depends on the silica precursor content.

Antibacterial SiO2 hybrid materials based on tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) and silver were prepared by the sol-gel method. The content of cellulose derivate was 5 wt% concentration varied from 0.5 to 2.5 wt%. amorphous nature, morphology antibacterial behaviour studied. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra hybrids showed characteristic peaks for network. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis confirmed formation spherically shaped...

Hybrid materials based on tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), or methyl (HPMC) with silver nanoparticles were synthesized. They analyzed and characterized using differential thermal analysis thermogravimetry, atomic force microscopy, static contact angle measurements. It was experimentally demonstrated that the silver-doped hybrid have pronounced antibacterial behavior by studying reduction of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 biofilm formation tested materials. The...

In the present study, copper modified fibreboards were prepared and their existing phase, morphology, antibacterial behaviour investigated. The content physical mechanical properties of (thickness, bending strength, swelling) determined. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) showing peaks typical for cellulose, Cu2S, Na2SO4, depended on preparation conditions. average size Cu2S crystals varied between 20 50 nm. morphology obtained fibreboards, as well shape particles, observed by scanning...
