To evaluate if "state-of-the-art" 3D- versus 4K-display techniques could influence surgical performance.High quality minimally invasive surgery is challenging. Therefore excellent vision crucial. 3D display technique (3D) and 2D-4K (4K) are designed to facilitate performance, either due spatial resolution or very high (4K).In randomized cross-over trial the performance of medical students (MS), non-board certified surgeons (NBC), board (BC) was compared using 4K at a training Parkour.One...
Three-dimensional (3D) stereoscopic vision is crucial to perform any kind of manual task. The reduction from real life 3D virtual two-dimensional (2D) sight a major challenge in minimally invasive surgery (MIS). A display technique has been shown reduce operation time and mistakes improve the learning curve. Therefore, use a3D seems optimize surgical performance for novice experienced surgeons. Inspired by consumer electronics, 4K was recently introduced MIS. Due its high resolution zoom...
Abstract Background The use of 3D technique compared to high-resolution 2D-4K-display has been shown optimize spatial orientation and surgical performance in laparoscopic surgery. Since women make up an increasing amount medical students surgeons, this study was designed investigate whether one gender a greater benefit from using 4K-display system. Methods In randomized cross-over trial, the male female (MS), non-board certified surgeons (NBCS), board (BCS) 3D- vs. at minimally invasive...
In order to prevent recurrence of pterygium after excision we treated 21 patients postoperatively with Mitomycin-C-eye drops 0.02%. a mean follow up 1 1/2 years, have not seen any or side effect. We conclude, Mitomycin-C 0.02% is safe, simple and effective treatment suggest continue for further experience.
