The clinical and radiological outcomes of revision total knee arthroplasty with a cemented posterior stabilized (PS), condylar constrained (CCK) or fully rotating hinge (RHK) prosthesis were evaluated. This study reviewed the results 36 arthroplasties PS, CCK, RHK in 8, 25, 13 cases, respectively, performed between 1998 2006. mean follow-up period was 30 months (range, 24 to 100 months). reason for aseptic loosening one both components 15, an infected 18 periprosthetic fracture 3 knees....

We evaluated the chondroprotective effects of wogonin by investigating its on gene expression and production matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) in primary cultured rabbit articular chondrocytes, as well MMP-3 rat knee. Rabbit chondrocytes were a monolayer, RT-PCR was used to measure interleukin-1β (IL-1β)-induced MMP-3, MMP-1, MMP-13, disintegrin metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs-4 (ADAMTS-4), type II collagen. In IL-1β-induced proteolytic activity investigated using western blot...

Spinal-pelvic parameters are utilized in orthopedics for assessing patients' curvature and body alignment diagnosing, treating, planning surgeries spinal pelvic disorders. Segmenting autodetecting the whole spine from lateral radiographs is challenging. Recent efforts have employed deep learning techniques to automate segmentation analysis of whole-spine radiographs. This study aims develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-based approach automated segmentation, alignment, measurement...

Age-related rotator cuff tendon degeneration is related to tenofibroblast apoptosis. Anthocyanins reduce oxidative stress-induced apoptotic cell death in tenofibroblasts. The current study investigated the presence of protective effects cyanidin and delphinidin, most common aglycon forms anthocyanins. We determined whether these anthocyanidins have antiapoptotic antinecrotic tenofibroblasts exposed H2O2, evaluated their biomolecular mechanisms. Both delphinidin inhibited H2O2-induced...

A glomus tumor is a rare, benign with atypical clinical symptoms. Because of its small size, it difficult to diagnose and treat early; therefore, leads poor quality life. Glomus tumors are known commonly affect the hand rarely manifest in other areas. they simulate neuromas, hemangiomas, neurofibromatosis, differential diagnosis difficult. We performed marginal resection solitary forearm mass previously suspected be hemangioma or on basis ultrasound findings histologically diagnosed...

Upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders (UEMDs), such as rotator cuff tear, epicondylitis, and hand osteoarthritis, have a negative impact on quality of life (QOL). In this study, we evaluated the prevalence lateral medial osteoarthritis in dominant side these UEMDs disabilities arm, shoulder, (DASH) outcome measure, which assesses upper extremity-related QOL. 2013-2015, 987 participants from rural areas completed questionnaire underwent physical examinations, laboratory tests, simple...

Organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) are a human health hazard. OPs inhibit acetylcholinesterase (AChE) at nerve endings and accumulate acetylcholine (ACh) these sites. High levels of ACh long exposure promote cholinergic crisis. The hydrolysis by serum paraoxonase 1 (PON1) plays role in crisis humans. Human PON1 can break down organophosphate before binding to ChE. We investigated the effect polymorphisms on AChE activity after OP treatment.50 healthy volunteers were randomly recruited with...
