Lead is one of the most common heavy metal pollutants in environment. Prolonged exposure to lead will induce oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis kidneys, which turn causes kidney injury. Lycium barbarum polysaccharide (LBP) well known for its numerous pharmacological properties. This study aims explore efficacy mechanism LBP against lead-induced damage mice. Symptoms renal injury were induced mice by using 25 mg/kg acetate (PbAc2), different doses (200, 400, 600 BW) orally...

In this study, five polysaccharides from Lycium barbarum(LBPs)(LBP-1-LBP-5) were selectively extracted by different extraction methods, and the chemical composition, structural characteristics, biological activities of LBPs explored. The results composition analysis showed that alkaloids not detected in LBPs. total polysaccharide content was(81.95%±1.6%)-(92.96%±0.76%), uronic acid was(8.26%±0.46%)-(24.81%±0.46%), protein was(0.06%±0.03%)-(1.35%±0.13%). monosaccharide compositions basically...

Objective To investigate the effects of polaprezinc (PZ) on cyclophosphamide (CTX)- or cisplatin (DDP)-induced gastric mucosal injury and a rat model neurotransmitter-mediated vomiting. Methods Sprague–Dawley rats were divided at random into Control, CTX, DDP, PZ+CTX, PZ+DDP groups. After 20 days, brain tissues sera analyzed for levels dopamine (DA), 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB). Hematoxylin eosin-stained sections stomach, intestine, examined using light...

Background: The impact of dominant ventricular morphology on Fontan patient outcomes remain controversial. This study evaluates long-term results right ventricle (RV) dominance versus left (LV) in circulation without hypoplastic heart syndrome (HLHS). Methods: We retrospectively examined 323 operations from our center. To minimize pre- and intra-Fontan heterogeneity, 42 RV patients were matched with LV using propensity score matching, allowing for a comparative analysis between groups....
