Environmental exposure to active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) can have negative effects on the health of ecosystems and humans. While numerous studies monitored APIs in rivers, these employ different analytical methods, measure APIs, ignored many countries world. This makes it difficult quantify scale problem from a global perspective. Furthermore, comparison existing data, generated for studies/regions/continents, is challenging due vast differences between methodologies employed....

ABSTRACT Phytate is an important antinutritional component of legume seeds, which chelates minerals that are essential to the human diet such as iron and zinc. levels often correlated with total seed phosphorus (P). The objective this research was evaluate quantitative trait loci (QTL) for P phytate content in inter‐gene pool (G2333 × G19839) recombinant inbred line population common bean ( Phaseolus vulgaris L.) planted at medium high soil randomized complete block experiments. Seed were...

A system for automatic quantification of total phosphorus (TP) through hyperspectral analysis in soil samples enriched with fertilizer (P2O5) is presented. The acquisition protocol was described (Rivadeneira-Bolaños et al. 2023) and involved the design, development, construction a platform on which capture device (Bayspec OCI-F camera) installed. design lighting ensured adequate frequency response visible (VIS) near-infrared (NIR) regions, covering spectral range 420 to 1000 nm, preparation...

A preliminary evaluation of Semivolatile Organic Compounds (SVOCs) was performed in the atmosphere Santiago de Cali, Colombia, using passive air samplers based polyurethane foam (PAS-PUF) disks. PAS-PUF were deployed four sites, along a north-south transect(∼15 km), during one sampling period ∼4 months 2011, form industrial area Yumbo (EF site) to agricultural Valle del Cauca (FCNE). Results showed, for PCBs and PAHs, clear (IN > AG) decreasing concentration gradient (∼3 times) while OCPs...
