Abstract Background Inferior Fronto-Occipital Fascicle (IFOF) is a multitasking connection bundle essential for communication and high level mentalization. The aim of the present study was to quantitatively assess its radiological-anatomical-morphometric modifications according different brain tumor histotype. Methods A retrospective multicentric Italian conducted. IFOF reconstructions were calculated both hemispheres each patient diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM), Low Grade Glioma (LGG),...

We report the synthesis and structural characterization of a main-chain liquid crystal polymer constituted by 1,2,4-oxadiazole-based bent-core repeat unit. For first time, made bent mesogenic units is demonstrated to exhibit cybotactic order in nematic phase. Coupled with chain-bond constraints, cybotaxis results maximized molecular correlations that make this material great potential search for elusive biaxial ferroelectric phases. Indeed, repolarization current measurements phase hint at...

Dielectric measurements on a bent-core liquid crystal were carried out in the frequency range from 10 mHz to 100 kHz planar aligned cells. Four relaxation ranges detected during heating condition: two low of few hertz probably due conductivity and interface phenomena, another between 20 Hz, one smectic as nematic isotropic phases. The third response is no more visible cooling conditions. increments, distribution parameters, frequencies have been evaluated at different temperatures by fitting...

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) still represent the mainstream surgical approach in treatment of degenerative Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD), being a loss mobility at treated segment adjacent diseases well-known complications. To overcome those complications, hybrid surgery (HS) incorporating ACDF disk arthroplasty is increasingly performed for DDD.We retrospectively reviewed clinical, surgical, outcome data 62 consecutive patients (male/female, 29/37) harboring herniation...

Thin films of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) were obtained by a modified sol–gel route on float glass and indium tin oxide (ITO)-covered substrates. Different thermal treatments performed the deposited in temperature range 100–700°C. Spectroscopic ellipsometry was used to investigate optical properties films, changing absorption spectra interpreted terms growth two different crystal phases, pyrochlore ferroelectric perovskite, as function annealing temperature. Moreover, specific resonance at...
