Cytochrome P450-mediated detoxification is one of the most important mechanisms involved in insecticide resistance. However, molecular basis this mechanism and physiological functions P450s associated with resistance remain largely unknown. Here, we exploited functional genomics reverse genetic approaches to identify characterize a P450 gene responsible for majority deltamethrin observed QTC279 strain Tribolium castaneum . We used recently completed whole-genome sequence T. prepare custom...

Abstract The insect midgut epithelium is remodeled during larval‐pupal metamorphosis when larval polyploid cells (LPCs) are replaced by the daughters of intestinal stem (ISCs). We characterized proliferation ISCs remodeling in red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum . Midgut initiated at 96 hr after ecdysis into final instar stage. Immunocytochemistry with bromodeoxyuridine and phospho‐histone H3 antibodies showed that progenitors pupal/adult they undergo differentiation to form new...

Abstract The juvenile hormone analogs (JHA) are known to disrupt insect development but the molecular mechanisms of their action have been studied only in a few model insects belonging orders Diptera and Lepidoptera. Here, we investigated JHA red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum, order Coleoptera. Application during penultimate final instar larval stages blocked larval‐pupal metamorphosis induced supernumerary molts. When compared control undergoing molt, down‐regulation expression...

Nocardial peritonitis is rare and difficult to diagnose treat in patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Nocardia-related PD has high mortality. There not much data the reinsertion of catheters after peritonitis. We describe a case nocardial associated with septic shock necessitating Tenckhoff catheter removal. After appropriate treatment 7 months trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, was reinserted. 1 year, patient continues be CAPD without recurrence.

Malaria has been surging in India for the past 3 years after reaching recorded low 2021. Among possible reasons this unexpected surge of cases, such as insufficient surveillance, slow and aggregated data reporting, endemic pockets tribal, dense forest areas where control programmes are difficult to reach, role climate change due global warming gained less attention. Similar diverse climatic conditions that prevail different regions India, malaria distribution is also highly variable....

Abstract Morphological diversity of leg appendages is one the hallmarks developmental evolution. Limbs in insects may develop either from their embryonic prototypes or imaginal discs harbored inside larva. Bombyx mori (B. mori), a Lepidopteran insect, develops adult wings larval wing discs. However, it has been debated whether legs B. arise legs. Here we addressed how relate to counterparts. We present morphological landmarks during early development. used expression genes like Distalless...

Abstract Introduction: Arteriovenous fistulas (AVF) are the preferred choice for vascular access in hemodialysis. We aim to identify factors that may contribute AVF failure. Methods: Data regarding survival were collected from 441 patients. All AVFs either radial or brachial, of end‐to‐side variety. Parameters studied age, gender, diabetes mellitus, hypertension prior end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD), site fistula, blood flow rate, venous pressure, dialysis vintage and frequency, needle gauge...
