We show that resonant electron transport in semiconductor superlattices with an applied electric and tilted magnetic field can, surprisingly, become more pronounced as the lattice conduction temperature increases from 4.2 K to room beyond. It has previously been demonstrated at certain critical parameters, semiclassical trajectories of electrons lowest miniband superlattice change abruptly fully localized completely unbounded. The unbounded orbits propagate through intricate web patterns,...

Abstract We performed a mathematical analysis of functional connectivity in electroencephalography (EEG) patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) (N = 10; age: 52.8 ± 13 years; median 49 male/female ratio: 7/3), compared group apparently healthy participants 15; 51.5 29.5 42 8/7), based on the calculation wavelet bicoherence from nighttime polysomnograms. Having observed previously known phenomenon interhemispheric synchronization deterioration, we demonstrated compensatory increase...

Multistability in the intermittent generalized synchronization regime unidirectionally coupled chaotic systems has been found. To study such a phenomenon, method for revealing existence of multistable states interacting being modification an auxiliary system approach proposed. The efficiency testified using examples logistic maps and Rössler regime. quantitative characteristic multistability introduced into consideration.

We aimed to assess which quantitative EEG changes during daytime testing in patients with sleep disorder (primary insomnia and excessive sleepiness groups). All experimental study participants were subjected a long-term test for maintaining attention sound stimuli, their EEGs recorded then processed, using wavelet analysis, order estimate the power frequency structure of alpha activity. In healthy subjects, maximum increase rhythm occurred near 9 Hz. Patients primary characterized by an...

This article proposes a modification of joint recurrence quantification analysis for identifying individual characteristics applied to human electroencephalography (EEG) using short time series. Statistical EEG facilitated the clarification spatial localization identified characteristics. The method can be adapted use as stage rapid automatic configuration brain–computer interface devices, which is especially relevant when working with children, due limited opportunities their long-term monitoring.

The synchronization of oscillatory activity in networks neural is usually implemented through coupling the state variables describing neuronal dynamics. In this study we discuss another but complementary mechanism based on a learning process with memory. A driver network motif, acting as teacher, exhibits winner-less competition (WLC) dynamics, while driven learner, tunes its internal couplings according to oscillations observed teacher. We show that under appropriate training learner motif...
