We investigate synchronization between the low-frequency oscillations of heart rate and blood pressure having in humans a basic frequency close to 0.1 Hz. A method is proposed for quantitative estimation these oscillating processes based on calculation relative time phase oscillations. It shown that healthy subjects exhibit average substantially longer epochs internal than patients after acute myocardial infarction.

To study the dynamical mechanism which generates Parkinsonian resting tremor, we apply coupling directionality analysis to local field potentials (LFP) and accelerometer signals recorded in an ensemble of 48 tremor epochs four patients with depth electrodes implanted ventro-intermediate nucleus thalamus (VIM) or subthalmic (STN). Apart from traditional linear Granger causality method use two nonlinear techniques: phase dynamics modelling causality. We detect a bidirectional between...

This paper describes in detail a new method proposed by authors for quantitative estimation of the strength synchronization between low-frequency oscillations (with main frequency about 0.1 Hz) heart rate variability (HRV) and photoplethysmogram (PPG). Calculation index value is followed statistical significance control. The applied analysis 1056 pairs HRV PPG signals obtained from patients having different clinical status. Methodological recommendations are developed application studies.

Synchronization between 0.1-Hz rhythms in cardiovascular system is deteriorated at acute myocardial infarction (AMI) leading to a disruption of natural functional couplings within the autonomic regulation. This study evaluates prognostic value regulation indices for 5-year risk fatal and nonfatal events patients after AMI.We studied 125 (53 [42%] female) AMI aged 30 83 years. The period observation was 5 years with checkpoints first week each year AMI. We compared established clinical...

We study the synchronization of infra-slow oscillations in human scalp electroencephalogram signal with respiratory signal. For cases paced respiration a fixed frequency and linearly increasing frequency, we reveal phase locking brain potentials by respiration. It is shown that for different areas, can exhibit synchronous regimes orders.

The origin of complex irregular dynamics in a cardiovascular system is still being actively debated. Some hypotheses suggest the crucial role stochastic modulation parameters, while others argue for importance cardiac pacemakers' chaotic deterministic dynamics.
