ABSTRACT Nitrogen solubility, emulsification capacity, foam fat and water absorption capacity of raw heat‐processed winged bean flour were compared with those soy flour, both as a function pH NaCl concentration. solubility vs profile showed only one minimum, at 4.5. Heat processing lowered nitrogen solubility. Water 2.1 g/g 1.4 g/g, respectively; 3.1 1.2 g/g. increased by 38% 57%, respectively. Emulsification was higher than that about 30–60% depending on the pH. diminished 35% 18%,...

For the past ten years, number of dengue cases has gradually increased in India. Dengue is driven by complex interactions among host, vector and virus that are influenced climatic factors. In present study, we focused on extrinsic incubation period (EIP) its variability different zones The EIP was calculated using daily monthly mean temperatures for states Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan Kerala. Among studied states, a faster/low Kerala (8–15 days at 30.8 23.4 °C) generally slower/high...

An aluminum–ion battery comprised of fluorinated natural graphite cathode, aluminum anode and AlCl3 containing imidazolium based ionic liquid as electrolyte is reported for the first time. Electrochemical method preparation lead to formation non-covalent C-F bonds. The cycle life studies (40 cycles) indicated very stable electrochemical behavior discharge capacity 225 mAh g−1.

Abstract Dengue is a widespread vector-borne disease believed to affect between 100 and 390 million people every year. The interaction vector, host pathogen influenced by various climatic factors the relationship dengue conditions has been poorly explored in India. This study explores El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO), Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) cases Additionally, distributed lag non-linear model was used assess delayed effects of on cases. weekly reported Integrated Disease Surveillance...

Abstract In search of better antibacterial and anticancer agents, a series novel 4‐[3‐fluoro‐4‐(morpholin‐4‐yl)]phenyl‐1 H ‐1,2,3‐triazole derivatives were synthesized ( 6a ‐ l 8a j ) by using 3‐fluoro‐4‐morpholinoaniline, alkyne, triflyl azide via an in situ generated 4‐(4‐azido‐2‐fluorophenyl)morpholine evaluated for their activity vitro. Antibacterial against three G+ bacterial strains breast cancer cell line (MCF‐7) cervical carcinoma (HeLa) was evaluated. Among all the tested compounds,...

ABSTRACT The effect of partial proteolysis winged bean flour with a protease from A. oryzae on its functional properties has been determined. At 45% hydrolysis, nitrogen solubility in water increased twofold and 1M NaCl solution by 63%. Bulk density 0.387 to 0.597 g/mL. Foam volume showed maximum increase 50% at 18% hydrolysis then decreased. Emulsifying capacity did not show any change. Water absorption decreased 245g/100g 135g/100g oil 190g/100g 120g/100g.

Buccoadhesive tablets of carvedilol were prepared using HPMC K4M, K15M and Carbopol 934 as mucoadhesive polymers. Fifteen formulations developed with varying concentrations Formulations the BC or BD series composed K4M in ratios 1:1 to 1:5 whereas BE was used (1:0.25 1:1.50). The tested for vitro drug release, bioadhesion, moisture absorption permeation through porcine buccal mucosa. Dengue is an emerging and re-emerging infectious disease, transmitted by mosquitoes. It mostly prevalent in tropical sub-tropical regions of the world, particularly, Asia-Pacific region. To understand epidemiology spatial distribution dengue, a retrospective surveillance study was conducted state Andhra Pradesh, India during 2011–2013. District-wise disease endemicity levels were mapped through geographical information system (GIS) tools. Spatial statistical analysis such as Getis-Ord Gi*...

Silver nanoparticles were green synthesized (Ag-PTs) employing the crude extract of Padina tetrastromatica, a marine alga, and their anticancer safety profile compared with those chemically silver (Ag-NPs) by in vitro vivo models. Ag-PT exhibited potent cytotoxicity against B16-F10 (IC50 = 3.29), MCF-7 4.36), HEPG2 =3.89), HeLa 4.97) cancer cell lines, whereas they lower toxicity on normal CHO-K1 cells 5.16). The activity Ag-PTs is due to liberation ions from nanoparticles. Increased ion...
