A novel red-pigmented, Gram-negative, motile, fluorescent, rod-shaped strain, DZ0503SBS1T, with a single lateral flagellum, was isolated from the intestine of nematode Heterorhabditidoides chongmingensis. Comparative 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that strain is member genus Serratia, sharing highest similarities Serratia marcescens subsp. sakuensis JCM 11315T (99.8 %), S. DSM 30121T (99.5 %) and ureilytica LMG 22860T (98.3 %). Similarities between rpoB DZ0503SBS1T those 11315T,...

The taxonomic position of a novel Gram-negative strain, designated SY1T, isolated from farm-soil sample obtained Jiangsu Province, PR China, was characterized by using polyphasic approach. cells were non-motile, non-spore-forming rods. organism grew optimally at 30–37 °C and pH 6.0–8.0. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, strain SY1T is member the genus Sphingobacterium; Sphingobacterium multivorum JCM 21156T nearest relative (98.5 % similarity). predominant fatty acids iso-C15 : 0...

A novel strain, D3T, isolated from a field-soil sample obtained Anhui Province, PR China, was characterized taxonomically by using polyphasic approach. The cells were Gram-negative, yellow-pigmented rods devoid of flagella, but showing gliding motility. organism able to grow at 5–37 °C and pH 4.0–10.0. comparative 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that strain D3T is member the genus Flavobacterium, sharing highest similarity with type Flavobacterium defluvii (96.7 %). major...

A taxonomic study was performed on strain HR1T, which isolated from a desert soil sample collected Xinjiang Province (China). Cells were aerobic, Gram-positive-staining, pink-pigmented, sporulating rods with single lateral flagellum. The organism can grow at 15–42 °C and pH 5.0–10.0, optimally 30–37 6.0–8.0. Growth is inhibited by 6 % NaCl. Analysis of almost-complete 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that the isolate represents distinct taxon within genus Saccharibacillus; Saccharibacillus...

Sea bass (Lateolabrax japonicus) is known for its unique flavor and high nutritional value. In this study, the influence of slaughter methods on volatile compounds (VOCs) in sea was investigated using electronic nose (E-nose) technology gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS). VOCs raw cooked resulting from different were effectively distinguished both techniques. Aldehydes, ketones, alcohols associated with basic bass, whereas esters, organic acids, furans enriched aroma....

Abstract The endoparasitoid Asecodes hispinarum (Bouček) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) serves as an effective biological control agent against Brontispa longissima (Gestro) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), a notorious palm pest. Endosymbionts found in parasitoids and their hosts have attracted significant attention due to substantial influence on biocontrol efficacy. In this study, we employed 16S rRNA sequencing, polymerase chain reaction, fluorescence situ hybridization assess the symbiotic...

ABSTRACT A pH indicator method (PIM) for rapid screening of bacteria with glutamate decarboxylase (GAD) activities was established. In this article, 48 different bacterial strains were used the detection GAD by PIM, as well paper chromatography and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry. Similar results obtained three methods; however, PIM is a more simple, repeatable one.
