2-Methylfuran (2-MF) and cyclopentanone (CPO) are the selective hydrogenation products of furfural, which can be produced in industrial scale with lignocellulose. In this work, renewable diesel or jet fuel range branched alkanes cycloalkanes were first synthesized simultaneously by solvent-free hydroxyalkylation/alkylation (HAA) 2-MF CPO followed hydrodeoxygenation (HDO). Among solid acid catalysts used Nafion-212 resin exhibited best activity selectivity for HAA CPO. The excellent...
Abstract For the first time, renewable high density aviation fuels were synthesized at overall yield (95.6%) by Guerbet reaction of cyclopentanol which can be derived from lignocellulose, followed hydrodeoxygenation (HDO). The solvent-free was carried out under co-catalysis solid bases and Raney metals. Among investigated catalyst systems, combinations magnesium-aluminium hydrotalcite (MgAl-HT) Ni (or Co) exhibited best performances. Over them, carbon (96.7%) C 10 15 oxygenates achieved....
In this article, we demonstrated an integrated process for the direct production of tri(cyclopentane) with cyclopentanone which can be obtained from lignocellulose. The reaction was carried out in a dual‐bed continuous flow reactor. first bed, selectively converted to 2,5‐dicyclopentylcyclopentanol over Pd‐MgAl‐HT (hydrotalcite) catalyst. Under solvent‐free and mild conditions (443 K, 0.1 MPa H 2 ), high carbon yield (81.2%) achieved. Subsequently, further hydrodeoxygenated second bed. Among...
Abstract Thermo-sensitive gel exhibits great potential industrial application. It has been widely used in tissue repair, drug release and water purification for its property of phase transition response to external stimuli, reusability biocompatibility. In this study, a novel lignin-based thermo-sensitive was synthesized with alkali lignin by two steps. Firstly, phenolated (PPAL) purified (PAL) catalyzed sulfuric acid. Subsequently, achieved thermal polymerization N-isopropylacrylamide...
A series of renewable C9 -C12 triketones with repeating [COCH2 CH2 ] units were synthesized in high carbon yields (ca. 90 %) by the aqueous-phase hydrogenation aldol-condensation products 5-hydroxylmethylfurfural (HMF) and ketones over an Au/TiO2 catalyst. Compared reported routes, this new route has many advantages such as being environmentally friendly, having fewer steps, using a cheaper reusable catalyst, etc. The obtained can be used feedstocks production conducting or semi-conducting...
Diesel and jet fuel range branched alkanes were first synthesized by the combination of hydroxyalkylation/alkylation (HAA) 2-methylfuran with angelica lactone (AL) subsequent hydrodeoxygenation.
This study demonstrated the successful preparation of high lignin-based phenolic foam (LPF). Alkali lignin (AL) was first activated via depolymerization by a solid acid-catalyzed phenolation process. Characterization phenolated AL (PAL) indicated that significantly reduced molecular weight and generated more hydroxyl groups in PAL. Then, foams (PFs) were prepared using PAL to substitute phenol. The results PAL-based PF (PPF) AL-based (APF) had structures very similar pure phenol-based (PF)....
C6–C15branched alkanes were synthesized in a high carbon yield (∼80%) with acetone and hydrogen over dual-bed catalyst system.
Pesticide sustained-release agents have advantages of low toxicity, high efficiency, and long duration. However, the effects were not ideal, such as short release time rate. The physical chemical properties diatomite are stability, porosity, good controlled-release abilities. A series diatomite-based pesticide prepared by adsorbing hymexazol onto diatomite. Kinetics, equilibrium, thermodynamic studies for adsorption carried out well. It was found that modified has a better effect hymexazol,...
Low enzyme activity is one of the disadvantages immobilized laccase. In this study, waste Cu2+-loaded activated carbon (Cu-AC) was successfully used in preparing a novel composite support, cellulose / beads (C Cu-AC), and effectively boosted laccase activity. To achieve optimum conditions for immobilization laccase, time, pH concentration were examined. The highest (34.21 U/g) achieved under (T = 4 h, 4, C 5 g/L) , which increased by 35.86 % compared to control. addition, showed an...
