We describe the case of a 65-year-old man with cryoglobulinemia undergoing cardiac surgery for combined mitral and aortic endocarditis, his preoperative management, postoperative complications including purpura fulminans as result crisis, ending in death.
Papillary fibroelastomas are rare benign primary cardiac tumors. They typically found on valvular surfaces, most commonly, the aortic valve. In this article, we report a case of papillary fibroelastoma arising from sinotubular junction ascending aorta, and unusual site causing an embolic stroke.
Since the first percutaneous implantation of an aortic valve bioprosthesis by Alain Cribier in 20021.Cribier A Eltchaninoff H Bash et al.Percutaneous transcatheter prosthesis for calcific stenosis: human case description.Circulation. 2002; 106 (doi: 10.1161/01.CIR.0000047200.36165.B8): 3006-3008Google Scholar, we have seen a remarkable progression treatment severe, symptomatic stenosis.2.Al-Azizi K Hamandi M Mack Clinical trials replacement.Heart. 2019; 105 (Mar, doi:...
