The energy inside the Earth can not only be released outward through earthquakes and volcanoes but also used by humans in form of geothermal energy. Is there a correlation between different forms release? In this contribution, we perform detailed seismic research Beijing area. results show that resources belong to typical medium-low temperature sedimentary basin, some areas are controlled deep fault activities (e.g., Xiji well (No. 17)). heat sources upper mantle heat, radioactive granite,...
The Northern Margin Fault of the Yanqing Basin (NMYB Fault) is an important active fault at intersection Zhangjiakou–Bohai (Zhang-Bo) Belt and Shanxi in North China. Basin, controlled by NMYB Fault, rich escaping gas from hot springs, previous investigations have indicated that located peak area upwelling deep fluids mantle source material within Zhang-Bo Belt. Hence, site suitable for geochemical precursor observations; to facilitate this, five new soil continuous stations were built on...
The refinement of acquired well logs has traditionally relied on predefined rock physics models, albeit with their inherent limitations and assumptions. As an alternative, effective yet less explicit machine learning (ML) techniques have emerged. integration these two methodologies presents a promising new avenue. In our study, we used four ML algorithms: Random Forests (RF), Gradient Boosting Decision Trees (GBDT), Multilayer Perceptrons (MLP), Linear Regression (LR), to predict porosity...
Automatic techniques have not been applied in the geochemical discrimination of marine, terrestrial and hydrothermal cherts, which is critical to retrieving paleoenvironmental information ancient sedimentary basins. Here, we three supervised machine‐learning methods analyse labelled compositional data (32 major trace elements) including support vector machine (SVM), sparse multinomial regression linear analysis. Our results show that these can successfully discriminate different chert types,...
Abstract For understanding the quantitative effect of nonhydrostatic stress on properties material, crystal structure and Raman spectra 3C-SiC under hydrostatic were calculated using a first-principles method. The results show that lattice constants ( , b c ) stresses deviate those stress. differences from with differential fitted by linear equation. Nonhydrostatic has no density at high pressure, namely equations state are same as frequencies pressure dependences LO TO modes just Under...
The Beijing and Zhangjiakou-Bohai Fault Zone is a group of NW-W orderly active fault zones with high seismic activity abundant geothermal resources since the Cenozoic. Many violent earthquakes occurred here, where it was an important area for earthquake monitoring research. In order to explore temporal spatial variation characteristics gas geochemistry in capital circle, this study cited previous two-stage survey data 23 hot springs west east circle 2013 2018. fill gap spring (the middle...
Al has significant effect on properties of minerals. We reported crystal structure and elasticity phase H, an important potential water reservoir in the mantle, which contains different using first principles simulations for understanding H. The U–Pb and Lu–Hf isotopic research of detrital zircons was carried out in southern modern rivers the South Tianshan (STS) orogenic belt to understand accretionary processes crustal evolution this region. Detrital from river sands yield two dominant age populations at 460–390 Ma 310–260 with several Precambrian groups. Such patterns imply that significant magmatic events occurred during Palaeozoic STS. Comparative studies on northern STS provide constraints tectonic its surrounding blocks....
Hydrological changes in groundwater coupled with earthquakes had been documented previous studies by global researchers. Although few reports investigate multiple geochemical parameters that respond to earthquakes, trace elements received less attention, whereas they were suggested be more sensitive small than the commonly used parameters. Beijing is located Zhangjiakou-Bohai (Zhang-Bo) seismic belt of North China, and although occurrence frequent, great historic earthquake Sanhe-Pinggu area...
Earthquake prediction practice and a large number of earthquake cases show that anomalous images small belts may appear near the epicenter before strong earthquakes. Through research cases, researchers have relatively consistent method to determine clarity an identified seismic belt, but there is still lack on belt identification from distribution scattered points. Due complexity exhaustive algorithm, rapid automatic technique has been progressing slowly. Visual recognition basic...
