In complementary images of coordinate-space and momentum-space density in a trapped 2D Bose gas, we observe the emergence presuperfluid behavior. As phase-space ρ increases toward degenerate values, gradual divergence compressibility κ from value predicted by bare-atom model, κ(ba). κ/κ(ba) grows to 1.7 before reaches for which sudden spike at p = 0 momentum space. Momentum-space are acquired means focusing technique. Our data represent first observation non-mean-field physics but gas.

The elderly population is at risk of osteoarthritis (OA), a common, multifactorial, degenerative joint disease. Environmental, genetic, and epigenetic (such as DNA hydroxymethylation) factors may be involved in the etiology, development, pathogenesis OA. Here, comprehensive bioinformatic analyses were used to identify aberrantly hydroxymethylated differentially expressed genes pathways determine underlying molecular mechanisms susceptibility-related for inheritance.Gene expression microarray...

The purpose of this study was to evaluate deficits at varying levels visual system in diabetes without clinical retinopathy (NoDR) and explore the optimal method for detecting early diabetic disorders among functional retinal structural assessments included. This cross-sectional examined eyes by Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) charts, psychophysical tests, optical coherence tomography (OCT), OCT angiography (OCTA). Visual metrics included grating acuity (GA), contrast...

Surgery and chemotherapy treatments of human laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HLSCC) may fail due to metastasis, in which epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays an important role. TRPP2, a nonselective cation channel, is expressed various types participates many biological processes. Here, we show that TRPP2 enhanced metastasis by regulating EMT.We used immunohistochemistry, western blotting, Ca2+ imaging, transwell wound healing assays investigate expression levels HLSCC tissue,...

Phospholipid scramblase 1 (PLSCR1), a lipid-binding and Ca2+-sensitive protein located on plasma membranes, is critically involved in phosphatidylserine (PS) externalization, an important process cell apoptosis. Transient receptor potential canonical 5 (TRPC5), nonselective Ca2+ channel neurons that interacts with many downstream molecules, participating diverse physiological functions including temperature or mechanical sensation. The interaction between TRPC5 PLSCR1 has never been...

We study the loss of atoms in quantum Newton's cradles with a range average energies and transverse confinements. find that three-body collision rate one-dimension is strongly energy dependent, as predicted by strictly 1D theory. adapt theory to waveguides, then, using detailed momentum measurements infer all collisions occur, we compare observed adapted they agree well.

Purpose: The pathological mechanisms of constant exotropia (XT) are still not understood. This study aimed to critically investigate whether patients with XT express neuronal activity changes after the critical period visual development and further explore how these alterations associated behavioral performance.Materials methods: Fourteen 16 healthy controls (HCs) underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). regional homogeneity (ReHo) method was used evaluate...

We study sequential scattering in superradiance from a Bose-Einstein condensate pumped by two-frequency laser beam. find that the distribution of atomic side modes presents highly different patterns for various frequency difference between two pump components. These observations reveal overlap end-fire related to plays an essential role dynamics superradiant scattering. The numerical results semiclassical model qualitatively agree with our observations.
