With the ever-increasing complexity of networks, fine-grained network monitoring enables better reliability and timely feedback control. The In-band Network Telemetry (INT) allows cost-effective by encapsulating device-internal states into probe packets. However, INT only specifies an underlying device-level primitive while how to achieve network-wide traffic remains undefined. In this work, we propose INT-path, a telemetry framework, decoupling system routing mechanism path generation...

Recovering molecular information remains a grand challenge in the widely used holographic and computational imaging technologies. To address this challenge, we developed mid-infrared photothermal microscope, termed Bond-selective Intensity Diffraction Tomography (BS-IDT). Based on low-cost brightfield microscope with an add-on pulsed light source, BS-IDT recovers both infrared spectra bond-selective 3D refractive index maps from intensity-only measurements. High-fidelity fingerprint...

Network reliability becomes increasingly important in modern data center networks (DCNs). The DCNs are expected to work sustainably under internal failures and assist network operators troubleshooting them rapidly. However, some will happen silently with packets discarded without producing any explicit notification before causing tremendous damage the network. To troubleshoot these "gray failures", this work, we present a rapid gray failure detection localization mechanism based on recently...

Surface defect passivation and exciton regulation remain a critical challenge in perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs). Organic molecules are widely used to solve these issues. However, the high sensitivity of films molecular groups concentration limited their commercialization applications. Here, we develop facile low-cost strategy that is compatible with traditional fabrication processes PeLEDs. By depositing thin LiF layer using vacuum thermal evaporation technique, defects film...

Current prediction models are suboptimal for determining mortality risk in patients with acute pancreatitis (AP); this might be improved by using a machine learning (ML) model. In study, we aimed to construct an explainable ML model calculate the of AP admitted intensive care unit (ICU) and compared it existing scoring systems. A gradient-boosting (XGBoost) was developed externally validated based on two public databases: Medical Information Mart Intensive Care (MIMIC, training cohort) eICU...

Daily wake-up has been implemented widely in intensive care units (ICU) and could improve the patients' prognosis. However, little is known about benefit of early neurological test (ENWT) patients with acute traumatic brain injury (TBI). We aimed to investigate role ENWT as a clinical monitoring tool for TBI its association This an observational retrospective study included intubated continuously sedated ICU, all data were extracted from three tertiary hospitals China. The main exposure...

Visibility is essential for operating and troubleshooting intricate networks. In-band Network Telemetry (INT) has been embedded in the latest merchant silicons to offer high-precision device traffic state visibility. INT actually an underlying technique each instance covers only one monitoring path. The network-wide measurement coverage therefore requires a high-level orchestration provision multiple paths. An optimal path planning expected produce minimum number of paths with overlapping...

Abstract Introduction Although heparin has been widely used in clinical practice, its effect on mortality sepsis is still controversial. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of septic patients. Methods Adult patients were identified from Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC)-IV 2.0 database, which contains admitted intensive care units (ICUs) at Beth Israel Deaconess Centre 2008 2019. Information-Centric Networking (ICN) provides scalable and efficient content distribution at the Internet scale due to in-network caching native multicast. To support these features, a router needs high performance its data plane, which consists of three forwarding steps: checking Content Store (CS), then Pending Interest Table (PIT), finally Forwarding Information Base (FIB). In this work, we build an analytical model identify that CS is actual bottleneck. Then, propose novel mechanism...

Power-aware traffic engineering via coordinated sleeping is usually formulated into Integer Programming problems, which are generally NP-hard with unbounded computation time for large-scale networks. This results in delayed control decision making dynamic network environments. Motivated by advances deep Reinforcement Learning, we consider building intelligent systems that learn to adaptively change router/switch's power state according changing conditions.
