This study was conducted on 1501 students in age group 8-12 years with aim determining effect Triphala mouthwash prevention caries (manifest caries) as well incipient carious lesions, and also comparing chlorhexidine mouthwashes. The recorded at 3, 6, 9 months intervals...
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Large‐bore femoral access is commonly required in transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TF‐TAVR), but vascular complications remain prevalent, impacting patient outcomes. Various closure devices (VCDs) are used for hemostasis, including the suture‐based Prostar XL, Perclose ProGlide, ProStyle, plug‐based MANTA device. However, comprehensive comparative evidence on these VCDs, particularly single strategies, lacking. Methods A systematic review...
Purpose: To evaluate whether intravenous lipid (IL) intake is associated with the development of parenteral nutrition–associated cholestasis (PNAC) in infants younger than 32 weeks gestational age (GA). Methods : A retrospective matched case‐control study (1:1) was performed including GA admitted to neonatal intensive care unit within 48 hours after birth. Infants a chromosomal disorder, TORCH infection (toxoplasmosis, syphilis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes, human immunodeficiency virus,...
Objective. To reduce neonatal intensive care unit admission rate (NAR) and antibiotic utilization (AUR) in ≥36 weeks gestational age infants exposed to maternal chorioamnionitis (MC) through the application of early-onset sepsis calculator (EOSCAL). Study Design. This is a single-center cohort study. All born MC were compared for NAR, AUR, laboratory evaluation (LER) 2 years after 1 year before implementation EOSCAL. Results. There significant decrease NAR (P < .001), AUR .04), LER blood...

A 43-year-old male presented with complaints of watery diarrhea, increasing fatigability, and weight loss. On examination, the patient was malnourished presence pallor pitting pedal edema. Investigations revealed hemoglobin 9.0 g/dL hypokalemia hypoproteinemia. Stool examination rectal swab on multiple occasions did not reveal any pathogenic ova or cyst. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, duodenal biopsy were all normal.
Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect intermittent parenteral copper supplementation (IPC) on serum status and biochemical hematological measures toxicity deficiency in premature infants with nutrition (PN)–associated cholestasis (PNAC). We performed a prospective nested observational PNAC who received IPC after development PNAC. Infants chromosomal disorders, TORCH (toxoplasmosis, parvovirus, syphilis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes, human immunodeficiency virus)...
Intestinal failure-associated liver disease (IFALD), a multifactorial disease, is common among infants with gastrointestinal surgical disorders (GISDs). Prolonged soy-based intravenous lipid emulsion (S-ILE) intake associated IFALD, but preventive studies of limiting S-ILE have been inconclusive. Furthermore, double-blind, randomized trial (DBRPT) has not performed in GISDs. Our objective was to compare the effect 1 g/kg/d vs 2 for 6 weeks on incidence IFALD and rate rise direct bilirubin...
BACKGROUND Congenital myotonic dystrophy is a subtype of type 1 presenting in the neonatal period. Cardiac involvement commonly seen patients with beyond Brugada syndrome conduction abnormality associated mutation sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 5 (SCN5A) gene and has been described adult dystrophy. Two cases are presented neonates, one who had family members confirmed diagnosis syndrome. CASE REPORT Case 1: A female infant at 40 weeks gestational age, birth weight 3,395 grams was...
