Abstract: Ciprofloxacin was conjugated with polylactide (PLA) via the secondary amine group of piperazine ring using PLA and 7-(4-(2-Chloroacetyl) piperazin-1-yl)-1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-1, 4-dihydro-4-oxoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid. Zinc prolinate, a biocompatible catalyst synthesized, characterized, used in opening polymerization L-lactide. Five different kinds OH-terminated poly(L-lactide) (two-, three-, four-, six-arm, star-shaped) homopolymers were synthesized by L-lactide presence...

Well-defined six-arm star-branched bio-degradable block copolymers of l-lactide and ε-caprolactone were prepared using controlled ring-opening polymerization a sequential monomer addition method dipentaerythritol as the initiator core organocatalysts at low temperatures in solution. Sequence enchainment was changed by reversing order giving, either, crystalline PLA or an amorphous PCL outer segment. poly(ε-caprolactone-b-l-lactide, 6s-PCL-b-PLA) obtained with range segment molecular weights....

Solid state 13C CP/MAS studies of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC)−bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DOP) have been carried out to elucidate the dynamics polymer−plasticizer interaction at molecular level. NMR spectra, spin−lattice relaxation time T1(C) and spin−spin T2(C) were obtained for various PVC−DOP samples. Line widths 〉CHCl show a sharp increase due strong hydrogen-bonding between 〉CO (ester) group DOP PVC with concentrations DOP. The also confirms presence hydrogen bonding. less mobile...

Abstract The synthesis of low‐molecular‐weight (weight‐average molecular weight < 45,000 g/mol) lactic acid polymers through the dehydropolycondensation L ‐lactic was investigated. Polymerizations were carried out in solution with solvents (xylene, mesitylene, and decalin), without a solvent using different Lewis catalysts (tetraphenyl tin tetra‐ n ‐butyldichlorodistannoxane), at three polymerization temperatures (143, 165, 190 °C). products characterized differential scanning...

Poly(l-lactide) (PLLA) was synthesized from l-lactide in the presence of a zinc salen complex. Ofloxacin (OFLX)-loaded PLLA nanofibrous mats were fabricated by electrospinning using dichloromethane/dimethyl sulfoxide (4:1 v/v) solutions containing different amounts OFLX (1, 3, 5, and 10 w/w%). The morphology diameter studied scanning electron microscopy (SEM). internal nanofibers examined transmission (TEM). Abstract Poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) (PLGA) copolymers were synthesized by ring opening polymerization in presence of zinc proline and stannous octoate bulk through green route designated as PLGA‐1 PLGA‐2 respectively. These characterized using NMR, SEC, DSC, X‐ray MALDI‐TOF analysis. For the first time, low molecular weight PLGA (~11,000 Da) was mainly targeted to explore acute oral toxicity L‐proline octoate.
