A new design strategy for the development of fluorescent turn-on chemodosimeters toward OCl− was proposed by removal, but not general inhibition, CN isomerization. Accordingly, Flu-1 prepared, which, as shown in picture, exhibited off–on response OCl−, sensitively and selectively.
An enhanced DC-DC converter is proposed in this paper, based on the combination of Cuk and SEPIC converters, which well-suited for solar photovoltaic (PV) applications. The uses only one switch (which ground-referenced, so simple gate drive circuitry may be used), yet provides dual outputs form a bipolar DC bus. output from able to send power grid via any inverter with unipolar or input, leakage currents can eliminated if latter type used without using lossy capacitors load current loop....
Thin-film composite reverse osmosis membranes have remained the gold standard technology for desalination and water purification nearly half a century. Polyamide films offer excellent permeability salt rejection but also suffer from poor chlorine resistance, high fouling propensity, low boron rejection. We addressed these issues by molecularly designing polyester thin-film membrane using co-solvent-assisted interfacial polymerization to react 3,5-dihydroxy-4-methylbenzoic acid with trimesoyl...
The brushless doubly fed induction generator (BDFIG) shows commercial promise for wind power generation due to its lower cost and higher reliability when compared with the conventional DFIG. In most recent grid codes, generators are required be able ride through a low-voltage fault meet reactive current demand from grid. A ride-through (LVRT) capability is therefore important which integrated into this paper, authors propose control strategy enabling BDFIG successfully symmetrical voltage...
Extensive use of amateur drones (ADrs) poses a threat to the public safety due their possible misuse. Hence, surveillance (SDrs) are utilized detect and eliminate potential threats. However, limited battery, lack efficient communication networking solutions degrade quality surveillance. To this end, we conceptualize Energy Neutral Internet Drones (enIoD) enable enhanced connectivity between by overcoming energy limitations for autonomous continuous operation. Power provisioning with...
This article presents an analysis and design of a new boost type six-switch five-level (5L) active neutral point clamped (ANPC) inverter based on switched/flying capacitor technique with self-voltage balancing. Compared to major conventional 5L topologies, such as clamped, flying capacitor, cascaded H-bridge, ANPC the topology reduces dc-link voltage requirement by 50%. Whilst reducing requirement, number size passive components are also reduced without compromising reactive power...
Abstract Evaluating and understanding the effect of manufacturing processes on creep performance in superalloys poses a significant challenge due to intricate composition involved. This study presents machine‐learning strategy capable evaluating heat treatment process predicting rupture life with high accuracy. approach integrates classification regression models domain‐specific knowledge. The physical constraints lead significantly enhanced prediction accuracy models. Moreover, is evaluated...
Photoluminescent hydrogels show great potential in the fields of information storage and security, environmental monitoring protection, vivo noninvasive monitoring, drug delivery, tissue engineering. Current fluorescent are prepared by coupling or doping units, such as semiconductor quantum dots, metal–ligand complexes, lanthanide ions, organic dyes, into polymer hydrogel matrices. However, conventional have intrinsic defects, including poor photostability, toxicity, low mechanical strength,...
Polysiloxanes are versatile polymeric materials with widespread applications in industries ranging from electronics to biomedical devices because of their unique thermal and viscoelastic properties. Accurate molecular simulations polysiloxanes essential for understanding broad a microscopic perspective. However, the accuracy these is highly dependent on quality force fields used. In this work, we present comprehensive benchmark development tailored polydimethylsiloxane, which one most widely...
The brushless doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) (BDFIG) shows commercial promise for wind power generation because of its lower maintenance needs compared to the widely used DFIG. From grid codes, installed turbines are sometimes required be capable operating under unbalanced conditions. This paper presents a novel controller BDFIG-based generators operated with asymmetrical voltage supplies. Two synchronous reference frames, positive and negative, introduced applying vector control...
Plant root exudates affect root-knot nematodes egg hatch. Chemicals in can attract to the roots or result repellence, motility inhibition even death. However, until recently little was known about relationship between tomato chemicals and nematodes. In this study, were extracted from three rootstocks with varying levels of nematode resistance: Baliya (highly resistant, HR), RS2 (moderately MR) L-402 susceptible, T). The effects on Meloidogyne incognita (M. incognita) hatch, survival...
This study presents the performance analysis and testing of a 250 kW medium‐speed brushless doubly‐fed induction generator (DFIG), its associated power electronics control systems. The experimental tests confirm design, show system's steady‐state dynamic grid low‐voltage ride‐through capability. DFIG in combination with simplified two‐stage gearbox promises low‐cost low‐maintenance reliable drivetrain for wind turbine applications.
Miniature power semiconductor devices mounted on printed circuit boards (PCBs) are normally cooled by means of PCB vias, copper pads, and/or heatsinks. Various reference thermal designs have been provided manufacturers and researchers. However, the recommendations not optimal, there some discrepancies among them, which may confuse electrical engineers. This paper aims to develop analytical resistance models for vias further obtain optimal design minimization. First, via array is thermally...
