Abstract Machine learning (ML) models are nowadays used in complex applications various domains, such as medicine, bioinformatics, and other sciences. Due to their black box nature, however, it may sometimes be hard understand trust the results they provide. This has increased demand for reliable visualization tools related enhancing ML models, which become a prominent topic of research community over past decades. To provide an overview present frontiers current on topic, we...

Visual analytics systems combine machine learning or other analytic techniques with interactive data visualization to promote sensemaking and analytical reasoning. It is through such that people can make sense of large, complex data. While progress has been made, the tactful combination still under-explored. This state-of-the-art report presents a summary made by highlighting synthesizing select research advances. Further, it opportunities challenges enhance synergy between visual for...

We report on the catalog of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) detected with Gamma-Ray Burst Monitor aboard BeppoSAX satellite. It includes 1082 GRBs 40–700 keV fluences in range from 1.3 × 10−7 to 4.5 10−4 erg cm−2, and peak fluxes 3.7 10−8 7.0 10−5 cm−2 s−1. some relevant parameters each GRB discuss derived statistical properties.

We study in this paper the consequences of using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) as a measure quality for regression models. show that finding best model under MAPE is equivalent to doing weighted (MAE) regression. universal consistency Empirical Risk Minimization remains possible instead MAE.

Between the launch of \textit{GGS Wind} spacecraft in 1994 November and end 2010, Konus-\textit{Wind} experiment detected 296 short-duration gamma-ray bursts (including 23 which can be classified as short with extended emission). During this period, IPN consisted up to eleven spacecraft, using triangulation, localizations 271 were obtained. We present most comprehensive localization data on these events. The burst detection rate, $\sim$18 per year, exceeds that many individual experiments.
