AbstractThe effects of reheating temperature and the strain roughing deformation passes on kinetics induced precipitation after a finishing pass have been investigated for several niobium high strength low alloy (HSLA) steels. Strain was detected via its strengthening effect second carried out either by experimental rolling or plane compression tests. Precipitates were also observed using thin foil electron microscopy. Decreasing reheating/roughing increasing found to significantly...

Abstract This work presents a multi‐objective optimization methodology to find compromise adhesive bonding schemes that possess great shear load and low percentage of remaining fiber in the bonding. The joining overlap, type, prior surface finishing are considered. Pareto front response model is found with an Nondominated Sorting Genetic algorithm. factors (MP55420, Betamate 120, DC‐80), (acetone cleaned atmospheric plasma), overlapping distance test coupons.

This work investigates the thermal stability of ausferritic microstructures such as those found in NiCuMo austempered ductile iron (ADI). Typical ADI consisting acicular ferrite and high carbon austenite were produced by heat treating for 2 h at 315 °C 370 °C. It was that low temperature austempering led to precipitation a hexagonal epsilon-carbide phase. Hence, differential analysis used closely follow active phase transformations experimental during non-isothermal annealing. From these...

Planning in the energy sector implies multiple and conflicting objectives.Multi-objective models allow analysis of inter-relationships trade-off solutions to be obtained. This paper presents a mixed integer linear model for multi-step multi-objective generation expansion planning (MMGEP).The MMGEP problem is defined as determining answers following questions: What types technologies are added grid? What capacity each new plant?Where will plant located? When located? The objectives minimize...

The electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is usually employed by industries for the removal of aerosol particles from gaseous streams. behavior inside collection duct great interest as a tool optimizing design and performance. In this work, laboratory scale ESP (0.6m long, 0.3m high 0.2m wide) was tested with electric fields 250, 350 450 kV/m at gas velocity 1.0 m/s. discharge electrode located 0.30 m beginning collector plate. test constituted phosphatic concentrate dispersed in air. Particles...
