Benthic ecology monitoring in the northern South China Sea revealed many individuals of polychaete genus Terebellides (Annelida), which are common soft sediments shallow waters (4.5–41.0 m). Three new species described, including T. guangdongensis n. sp., yangi sp. and ectopium is mainly found Guangdong waters. Beibu Gulf. A key to all described from Northwestern Pacific given.

Thirteen species identified, including three additional records previously recorded Amphictene two new species, A. cercusa n. sp. undulata sp., genus Lagis which has not been from Australia, a L. portus five Pectinaria one P. ningalooensis The study revealed characters are useful to identify pectinariids, pair ear-shaped lobes adjacent both sides dorsal base cephalic veil Amphictene, but they...

The bacterial communities played important roles in the high productivity mangrove ecosystem. In this study, we investigated vertical distributions of rhizosphere bacteria from three species (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Kandelia candel and Aegiceras corniculatum) Beilun Estuary, China using throughput DNA pyrosequencing 16S rRNA gene. Phylogenetic analysis showed that sediments were dominated by Proteobacteria (mostly Deltaproteobacteria Gammaproteobacteria), followed Chloroflexi, Bacteroidetes,...

In May–June 2017 an expedition on board RV ‘Investigator’ sampled benthic communities along the lower slope and abyss of eastern Australia from off Tasmania to Coral Sea. Over 200 sabellariid specimens genera Phalacrostemma Gesaia were collected during voyage deposited in Australian Museum. Here we describe two new species csiro n. sp. (4414–4436 m) timoharai (1013–1093 m). We did not formally another due poor condition single specimen. is first record genus waters (only a planktonic larva...

In Australia, the deep-water (bathyal and abyssal) benthic invertebrate fauna is poorly known in comparison with that of shallow (subtidal shelf) habitats. Benthic from deep eastern Australian margin was sampled systematically for first time during 2017 RV ‘Investigator’ voyage ‘Sampling Abyss’. Box core, Brenke sledge, beam trawl samples were collected at one-degree intervals Tasmania, 42°S, to southern Queensland, 24°S, 900 4800 m depth. Annelids identified by taxonomic experts on...

Pectinariids are a family of polychaetes commonly found in shallow coastal waters around the world, but their diversity is poorly known along coasts Asia. Here we describe Amphictene alata sp. n. (Pectinariidae), based on 15 specimens collected from Guangdong northern South China Sea. This new species can be distinguished all other 13 described and one subspecies by having pair dorsolateral lobes segment 3, large lateral 21, more scaphal hooks (26 to 37 pairs).

Pectinariidae is a family of polychaetes building unique ice-cream cone shaped sandy tubes. Pectinaria torquata sp. n. (Pectinariidae) described from the coastal waters northern South China Sea. This new species can be distinguished all other 25 recognized in genus by combination characters: 16 chaetigers; 26–32 cirri cephalic veil; 11–12 pairs spines; uncini with major teeth arranged two rows, each 7–8 teeth; presence dorsal posterior lobe on segments 2 and 20; 4–5 curved scaphal hooks; an...

To study the relationship between macrobenthic fauna and environmental factors, we investigated four transects from coast to deep-sea waters near Pearl Estuary in northern South China Sea July –August 2006 (Summer, wet season), April–May 2007 (Spring, normal water October–December (Autumn, dry season). A total of 273 species, 256 species 148 were identified spring, summer autumn, respectively. Macrobenthic belonging Annelida phylum had greatest richest, followed by Arthropoda, Mollusca,...

Fine-tuning pre-trained models for downstream tasks has led to a proliferation of open-sourced task-specific models. Recently, Model Merging (MM) emerged as an effective approach facilitate knowledge transfer among these independently fine-tuned MM directly combines multiple into merged model without additional training, and the resulting shows enhanced capabilities in tasks. Although provides great utility, it may come with security risks because adversary can exploit affect However, have...
