The transformer ratio, characterizing the ratio of maximum accelerating field behind drive bunch to decelerating inside bunch, is one key parameters for performance collinear wakefield accelerators. In this paper use electron bunches possessing a particular temporal profile (the double-triangular bunch) shown significantly increase beyond 2, limit symmetric bunch. generated using emittance exchange technique [P. Energy-variable gamma-rays are produced in the laser Compton slant-scattering Shanghai electron gamma source (SLEGS) beamline of Light Source. An interaction chamber composed rotating optical system, shielding finger, and reference-target insertion device was developed to ensure slant scattering angular range 20–160°, producing energy 0.66–21.1 MeV with a flux 4.8 × 105–1.5 107 photons/s. SLEGS is first which systematically produces energy-variable gamma-ray beams continuously tune...

Assessment and evaluation have long been critical challenges in artificial intelligence (AI) natural language processing (NLP). However, traditional methods, whether matching-based or embedding-based, often fall short of judging subtle attributes delivering satisfactory results. Recent advancements Large Language Models (LLMs) inspire the "LLM-as-a-judge" paradigm, where LLMs are leveraged to perform scoring, ranking, selection across various tasks applications. This paper provides a...

High harmonic cavities are widely used in electron storage rings to lengthen the bunch, thereby enhancing Touschek lifetime, reducing IBS effect, as well providing Landau damping. When RF phase is modulated such a dual-RF system, simulations reveal that peak current can be further reduced. This paper presents simulation results and explains underlying mechanism.

A compact damping ring with a limited circumference of about 160 m is proposed for producing kilowatt-level coherent EUV radiation. The electron bunch in the storage modulated by 257 nm wavelength seed laser help angular-dispersion-induced micro-bunching method (Feng and Zhao Sci Rep 7:4724, 2017), radiation at 13.5 an average power 2.5 kW can be achieved state-of-the-art accelerator technologies.

Generation of short-wavelength radiation by a free-electron laser using up-frequency conversion an electron bunch density modulation is currently area active research. We propose new scheme for producing the longitudinal similar to recently proposed echo-enabled harmonic generation but based on emittance exchange beam line and multislit mask. Beam analysis start-to-end simulation are presented.

In the SSRF Phase-II beamline project, a superconducting wiggler (SW) will be installed in electron storage ring. It may greatly impact on beam dynamics due to very high magnetic field. The emittance growth becomes major problem, even after correction of optics. A local achromatic lattice is studied, order combat and keep performance ring as possible. Other effects SW are also simulated optimized, including beta beating, tune shift, dynamic aperture, field error effects.
