There is contradictory evidence regarding whether the impairments of recognition emotional facial expressions in Parkinson's disease are specific to certain emotions such as disgust and fear. Generally, neurological case reports on emotion-specific have been suspected being confounded with factor task difficulty. Using a refined assessment method which difficulty factors were controlled by means mixed item response theory, we attempted clarify disproportionately impaired emotions. We studied...

This study investigated the relationship between Revised Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2 (CSAI-2R, Cox, Martens, & Russell, 2003; Jones Swain, 1992; Vealey, Burton, 1990) subscales and quality of music performance to compare anxiety-performance in pianists with that athletes gain insights into effective coping strategies for anxiety (MPA). Fifty one students (15 women 36 men) aged 18–26 years ( M = 20.6, SD 2.3) completed CSAI-2R just prior their individual piano performances a...

Whether an examinee has information about a crime is determined by the Concealed Information Test based on autonomic differences between crime-related item and other control items. Multivariate quantitative statistical methods have been proposed for this determination. However, these require specific databases of responses, which are problematic field application. Alternative methods, using only individual's data, preferable, but traditionally such within-individual approaches limitations...

Therefore researchers usually do a quasi-experiment or survey without assignment. However, under these studies the distributions of covariates that would affect dependent variables differ values independent variables. To eliminate influence covariates, various adjustment methods such as analysis covariance have been applied data.Recently new using propensity score proposed by Rosenbaum &...
