Developmental patterns and survival of the cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera Hübner (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), a polyphagous insect pest, have been studied with reference to effect diet on major gut digestive enzymes (amylases, proteases, lipases). Significant correlations between nutritional quality larval pupal mass were observed when H. larvae fed various host plants viz. legumes (chickpea pigeonpea), vegetables (tomato okra), flowers (rose marigold), cereals (sorghum maize). Larvae...

JIP3/UNC-16/dSYD is a MAPK-scaffolding protein with roles in trafficking. We show that it present on the Golgi and necessary for polarized distribution of synaptic vesicle proteins (SVPs) dendritic neurons. UNC-16 excludes enzymes from SVP transport carriers facilitates inclusion specific SVPs into same carrier. The trafficking are mediated through LRK-1, whose localization to reduced unc-16 animals. UNC-16, also enables Golgi-localization μ-subunit AP-1 complex. AP1 regulates size but not...

Synaptic vesicle proteins (SVps) are transported by the motor UNC-104/KIF1A. We show that SVps travel in heterogeneous carriers C . elegans neuronal processes, with some SVp co-transporting lysosomal (SV-lysosomes). LRK-1/LRRK2 and clathrin adaptor protein complex AP-3 play a critical role sorting of away from each other at SV-lysosomal intermediate trafficking compartment. Both lacking SV-lysosomes dependent on UNC-104/KIF1A for their transport. In lrk-1 mutants, both can axons absence...

Abstract Asymmetric transport of cargo across axonal branches is a field active research. Mechanisms contributing to preferential along specific in vivo wild type neurons are poorly understood. We find that anterograde synaptic vesicles preferentially enter the branch or pause at point Caenorhabditis elegans Posterior Lateral Mechanosensory neurons. The vesicle kinesin motor UNC-104/KIF1A regulates this behavior point. Reduced levels functional UNC-104 cause predominantly and lose their...

Abstract Asymmetric transport of cargo across axonal branches is a field active research. Mechanisms contributing to preferential along specific in vivo wild type neurons are poorly understood. We find that anterograde synaptic vesicles preferentially enter the branch or pause at point C. elegans PLM neurons. The motor UNC-104/KIF1A regulates this vesicle behaviour point. Reduced levels functional UNC-104 cause predominantly and lose their preference for turning into branch. SAM- 4/Myrlysin,...
