We sought to investigate the oncologic outcome of brain metastases (BM) patients treated with Gamma Knife Radiosurgery (GKRS) based on number metastases. The Columbia University Medical Center database was queried for GKRS from 1998 2013. There were 526 (233 men) median age 62 years. Patients divided into two groups; group 1 included 1-3 BM and 2 4-12 BM. Primary cancers 257 (48.7%) lung, 102 (19.3%) breast, (11.7%) melanoma, 40 (7.6%) renal cell, 29 (5.5%) gastrointestinal, 36 (7.2%) other....
Glioblastoma multiforme is the most common and lethal primary malignant brain tumor radiation therapy considered standard of care in adjuvant setting. Current treatment planning guidelines recommend FLAIR MRI sequence with a 2 cm margin to encompass subclinical spread. However, modality extensively visualizes surrounding edema, possibly leading unnecessary toxicity healthy tissue. We hypothesize that we can optimize by using alternative modalities or decreasing clinical volume margins...
The n-butanol gas sensor suffers from low response and selectivity. Photo-activation is a promising approach to enhance the signal of ZnO-based sensor. Herein, we synthesized Ga-doped ZnO (ZOG) by one-step hydrothermal treatment subsequent calcination. oxygen vacancies content in 1-ZOG has increased 46% compared pure ZnO. Rich can increase 174.78 darkness for 100 ppm n-butanol, which 2.4 times that Furthermore, under UV irradiation, 3.6 ZnO, up 636.81. at least 6.32 other gases light,...
